Larry, Less than half of the contest participants predicted a Tennessee win. I am also glad to report that MCG was onec again WRONG about Tennessee.
... also, I liked the black jerseys. It was a game time decision made by Kiffin because it was the desire of the team. They didn't even have the names sewn on them but the players wanted to sport them.
I loved the black jerseys and so did the players and, perhaps more importantly, the recruits. Check out govolsxtra.com to see that Tennessee received two JUCO football commitments as well as a 5 star basketball commitment over the weekend who specifically made mention of the black jerseys. I hope they break them out again, maybe once a year or once every few years. They could do something different with the helmets when they wear them though.
I thought the black jersey thing was cool. Kiffin is keeping it fun for the kids and giving young guys a chance to play while the team is visibly getting better. Can't ask for a lot more than that.
Aquila and Corey, I think we are all on the same page with regards to the unis. There are some old timers that think it is a slap in the face of tradition. Not me. However, up until the time we retired our positions with the fire department, Cindy and I fought the "We've always done it this way" mentality. I like change. Change is good when your program has been in decline!
