Muschamp? Interesting name, well thought of young DCoordinator. I'm suprised your first thoughts aren't for a guy with headcoaching experience.
I realize I don't really owe you an apololgy, simply my way of saying you were right. Muschamp wouldn't be my first choice personally but I think he would be a great choice. I would rather see a young, offensive-minded hire such as Lane Kiffin (doubtful he would be interested). I do think Muschamp makes sense and could have great success. I think you're just trying to defer our interest away from one of your Longhorns....
Lane Kiffin another interesting name. He was only an 0Coord for 1 year at USC and was the 2nd choice of the Raiders after Steve Sarkisian another USC coach turned the job down. He hasn't done anything with the Raiders either, wheter it's him or the talent or Al Davis I don't know. But I would be leery of somebody like him who didn't get into college coaching till 2001, it's a relatively thin resume and at USC he had megatalent to work with.... I don't know if he'd be the top of my list.
well <t>I see that Phil has declared the QB spot wide open to competition..<br/> <br/> Of all the problems you guys have, this is the last of them that needs to be addressed.<br/> <br/> Phil may officially be dead man walking at UT.</t>
Aquila, I meant that with no malice. Just meant that you had an opinion and I had mine. If Phil had not been so bull headed this year, your opinion might have been more accurate than mine. I had no idea that he would bury himself like he has.
Tom didn't Phil just get a raise and a contract extension last year? How long is he under contract for at this time? Terry
Yes and I was outraged when this happened. The outcome was supposed to show support from the AD for the coach to improve the recruiting situation. All it did was to dig a deeper hole.
