Technical question on "Robots"

    When I logged on this morning, at the bottom of the page, there is a box that said I was on, 1 member,15 guests, and 5 robots. What are the robots?

    Google and other entities have programs that scour the web gathering information. That's why people like me pay someone to optimize their website with certain keywords that help to get your site ranked. So that when someone uses Google to look for a family dentist in West Houston my site comes up on the 1st page

    I just looked and it said 3 members, 15 guests and 5 robots.

    Looks like the 15 guests and 5 robots stay on and us members come and go. :)

    Seriously I have no idea.

    the bots are just search engines 'crawling' the site. The guests are anybody's guess.
