I agree George with all except the HC part,

Given the unusually damaging penalties called and especially the "in the white paint" 15 yarder I thought WM had himself pretty well under control. He had a right to be agitated.

It always comes down to officiating with you, Dave, but the Gators were taken to the woodshed and there is no denying it. It happens and it may happen to us on Monday. That's why they play the games.

I am extremley old school when it comes to football showboating. I am against all of it from anybody.

Not denying that at all George. Taken to the woodshed is what happened.

In the process there was a couple of penalties called that didn't make the difference in the game but could have not been called but they were.....including the hit by Bostic and especially the "whiie paint" call.

Hey, here's an idea. If you don't want a penalty called against you, then don't do the illegal procedure!! :x

If we don't like drive-stopping personal fouls, how about we NOT punch a guy in the face or NOT hit someone late out of bounds or NOT be so much in the white paint that the refs can't do their jobs. And after that white paint penalty was called, what did our moral compass of a coach do?? That assaholic purposely stood 3 yards out into the field as they lined up for the next play - pretty much saying "I can stand wherever the F--- I want." Way to set an example on respecting the refs there coach.

What's really amazing is that the Florida coaches only stood in the white once and the Louisville coaches did not do it one time. Wow!

    George,

The 'it's football' just doesn't hold true anymore.

Ever meet a 40 year old man with dementia? I've known a couple and they weren't 'kids of the 60s' they were football players. There is a very real issue about concussions that needs to be addressed... The gear these guys wear now is considered weaponry compared to the heavy plastic armor of the 60s and 70s...

I think the targeting/helmet to helmet penalty is stupid because it's almost impossible to enforce evenly. There's always room for interpretation and then there's the Dave's of the world who really believe every official is out to get 'his team' while the things his boys do is just fine..

That being said, not a lot of plays like that have a direct quote from the coordinator celebrating and endorsing it. Honestly, the DC needs to STFU and Florida can go right on back to being the classless wannabe of Florida State that everyone but Wendy seems to be happy with....

    WZT,

What a unbiased opinion. It is Gators like yourself that has me preaching to MCG to be more moderate. Be proud of your team, but don't do it through a team bias. I learned that all too well with the Bruce Pearl fiasco. I ate a lot of crow over that. If Dave would have a couple of helpings himself, it would be so soul cleansing.

Wendy and the rest of the Gator fans are precisely why I've toned it way down.

I told Dave earlier that I planned on giving him some crap because it would be fun. Dave took that as some karma jihad challenge. I guess somehow he's forgotten all of the crap he dishes out all year long.

Had that loss just been a loss, I probably would be uglier about it with Dave but it's all in fun. Again, he sees himself as doing this justifiable but if someone gives it back to him... then he's taking his voodoo charms on over to the Tide side... As if they weren't already there.

But that game was so ugly, I just really have no interest in pouring it on. I mean it. I felt bad for Gator fans. They gotta look in the mirror about that staff after that game.. or at least should.

Everybody takes a beating sooner or later, it's how you conduct yourself that shows your measure. Dave has shown a willingness to rationalize away abhorrent behavior, Wendy and the rest though have shown the class that I've come to expect from FL fans.
