Pretty good analysis Terry and I agree about MCG.

Curious, just how you might analyze JO'Co's rant?

I don't really expect you to answer that. :)

Mostly thanks for the open mind you keep that escapes some other Notre Dame fans.

    Monday will be interesting.

That was not a ******** call. That was a cheap hit. It was late. It was head high and it was dirty. Your DC was overheard and quoted by the sideline reporter as saying it was a great play. Both personal foul penalties to start the 2nd were warranted although I thought the ejection was a little much, it was still deserved. It was a head high hit with intent to injure on the kid recovering that terrible onside.. and in the follow of scum, your guy punched the kid in the facemask in front of the side judge and the umpire.

You got away with 3 no calls on personal fouls in the first 15 minutes. In one instance, the Lou lost a player for a few downs because he was tackled by his facemask and had his helmet ripped off. Because the helmet came off, he had to come out.. Spielman (he of too many blows to the head) started fussing about The Lou's helmets being too loose. The replay showed the real reason why..uncalled, ripped off by the facemask.

Your conduct after almost every play was a disgrace to every great player to wear the Gator Blue and Orange to carry themselves with class and dignity. I'm not kidding when I say that I was embarrassed for you. Your totally delusional skew of the game is honestly the only thing we really looked forward to on the game thread. Out of respect for Bill, Wendy, Ro and all the other Gators who've never been anything but respectful, we hate this for you.. Louisville didn't beat you in that game, the ******* shamed you... SHAMED. Florida's dancing, strutting, chest thumping and head high hits never ended no matter how bad they kept whipping your ass. On the other side, the Lou players just kept beating you down, dusting it off and lining up for the next play.

Muschamp embarrassed himself and the program. BTW, the 'bench in the white' call was Muschamp not STFU. He'd been doing his cry baby dance for more than an hour at that point and the official had enough of him.

Ugh, this is why I prefer game day discussion over on my game threads. Lots of different opinions make for a smoother conversation and less butt hurt feelings... although, I thought we lost Husker forever there last night..where did you go?

As I told KP last night and I mean this, the Florida Gators don't define my happiness. You can be bat **** crazy and annoying, but Bill and the other Gators here have been wonderful. I've spoken exceedingly well of your Gators over the course of the year time and time again. You can look it up.

What we saw last night was gross incompetence and I was seriously embarrassed for you. Without knowing the opinion of Bill, every other Gator whose opinion I respect never wants to see anything like that again. If you do, he needs the Zook express and I agree. That was amateur hour. The Lou just beat you. Florida humiliated themselves. You're better than that and it was shocking...you can excuse it all away however you want, but if the program has their head as far up their ass as you do (which I doubt they do), your program is doomed.

Can we talk about the real tragedy of that game? The jacket Todd McDonogh was wearing looked like it was made from construction trailer carpet and Spielman's tie was something even Little Richard wouldn't wear.

    Who is dressing these guys?

I was disgusted myself as well and told my son that numerous times during the telecast.

Still.... haven't seen two 15 yarders on the same team in awhile when both teams were pushing back and forth and the "in the white paint" penalty I can't recall ever seeing and it really did hurt any comeback effort UF was trying to mount.

The Bostic call was ticky tack.... he hit him in the chest just after deivery but the helmet off facemask was missed as you say.

All in all Lville played great.... the Gators played horribly and Muschamp made some goofy calls and the team was out of control most of the night. A very bad outing for Florida.

Just to say you haven't seen it doesn't make it so. The penalties didn't come from the 'pushing back and forth.' The penalties came from 2 things.

    1. The head high intent to injure hit.
    2. A clear punch (not push) to the face in front of and within 10 feet of both the side judge and the umpire.

Honestly, they threw the wrong kid out of the game. The punch wasn't ejection worthy...but the hit was..

Florida looked dirty and cheap. And I'm talking Bobby Bowden's dark years at FSU level dirty and cheap.

I've busted Florida's balls over the years for dancing and strutting.. you've had cheap hits, we all have.. but that was the most concentrated, dirty, and cheap brand of football I've ever seen come from UF ever and honestly.. it's beneath you.

Yet, here you are making excuses for it.

Maybe there's no difference between you and Florida State? I always thought there was.. How disappointing.

And you're not reading my posts as usual. I said I did complain about the strutting and B/S when down by 20 all night long.... hated it.

Intent to injure.... that's pretty heavy...... really?? You know that as fact do you?

I just watched the replay of that game, specifically that play. It was fun with my morning coffee watching you ******** away reality... Yes, intent to injure. That was a vicious, cheap hit.

In the NFL, you'd be fined and get your ass kicked for a play like that.

I agree with everything Corey said about Florida's conduct last night. My memory is slipping, but I don't recall ever seeing Meyer's teams act like that. Cheap hits, strutting when down 2 TDs, etc., the head coach melting down. Like Corey said, if I was a Florida fan, I'd be embarrassed.

I also agree with everything Terry said. Terry is the sage, Corey is the candid, outspoken realist.

The bottom line for me is that, in our little Skybox world, Dave is experiencing first-hand that kharma is a bitch. Everyone here remembers well his classless strutting when Florida won its national championships. I do. I said back then that what goes around, comes around. Sorry, Bill and Wendy, but for that reason alone, I'm enjoying this.

Told ya already....playing with my kid's momma....the Marine still got it!!

Besides, it was obvious that Florida was doomed in that game....too many 4 and 5 star cuties on their own program...not good for team chemistry....also, you guys think Pelini's a monster?...BM was in aneurism mode last night...agree, another element that Florida couldn't overcome

Oh, don't think this couldn't be worse.. I assure you, this could be a LOT worse. I've held WAY back because honestly Bill, Wendy et all have been a class act...

And also, because I don't think what we saw last night was Gator football...or at least what should be accepted as Gator football. Getting your butt whipped happens. It's happened to all of us. It's life. If you play the game, any game, sooner or later you take the beating... but how you take the beating and how you conduct yourself in both high and low is where you're truly measured.

Florida has always been the apex of the moral curve of Sunshine State football. Miami had their well documented issues but have made earnest strides to reign it in. Florida State is just classless and shows no remorse about that. It's shocking because we expect better.

Just losing would have been fun to give Dave ****..but what happened last night? Nah... I don't mean to be alarmist and it's not my job, but if I didn't see those issues specifically addressed and corrected, I'd fire Muschamp in a heart beat. I know quite a few Gators who are saying the same thing today.

Here's a picture of the last time I saw two 15-yard personal foul penalties called when the teams were jostling around (November 10, 2012):

haha Kes, are you on baby patrol again tonight? Someone's gotta tether me because I'll have a hard time rooting for another Pac12 team again tonight. It's not so much anti-Oregon as it is Kelly..

    Husker,

Oh! That's right.. I thought you got into the parental vitamin pack and passed out.

<t>Well I tuned in to watch this game expecting I would not watch much of it as I expected Florida to take control from the start. After the first play I thought it might get interesting and then after the first quarter I decided to get a drink and some snacks as this definitely looked like I would be watching the whole game. I was correct. <br/>
    <br/>
All I can say is UL came to play some serious football and UF looked like....well I don't know what they looked like. They definitely didn't look like they did during regular season play and the UF coaching staff didn't help either. <br/>
    <br/>
congrats to UL and I hope ND can take care of another SEC team next week.</t>

I'll probably be in and out again based on when it's my turn to hold him. When I get to have my turn, it's hard to type but I can still follow the action in between gazing at my son.

I can't remember, where did James Franklin vote the Gators 2nd or 3rd? He probably didn't rank Lou at all.

Yes....remember that what goes around does come around.

Classless strutting.... hmmmmm....realism I say and you say strutting.

The truth hurts when your team isn't the one winning championships.

In this case.... last night's truth does hurt because it was unexpected and out of character......and I think WM knows he has some serious correcting to do becasue everything about Florida was horrible last night.

So fire away because the truth doesn't bother me like it it does you .

I do think what we have here is payback on Dave. I feel bad for Bill who is a great fan who doesn't spend anytime running down your team or questioning whether your team is worthy.

As I said Gators will be good next year as they have lots of talent and despite last night I think Muschamp is a good coach and you can't really judge him on his sideline demeanor last night any more than it's fair to judge Brian Kelly on his purple rage game vs USF last year.

It has all been said in this topic but I will say "Kudos" to Charlie Strong and the Cardinal team, they surprised everyone but themselves.

Teams win and teams lose there is "always" a 50% chance that it could happen to either team. What bothered me last night is something I have seen from all the Florida schools (FSU, Miami, USF, UF) on a continuing basis for years and it has soured my enjoyment as a Cane fan for 30 plus years. And that is the in-your face posturing celebration dances, fist pumps and gyrations that continue on just about every play. If your going to do that at least stop the guy before he just got another first down on ya.

There was so much head bobbing, trash talking, look at me I'm the hulk posturing from Florida last night that it seemed to be more important than actually doing the basics of the game of football. This was all about me and not a "team" mentality that coheres the team to play as one. Is it because they all are blue chippers I don't know but I have more respect for the teams that play together, pick you up after knocking you on your ass and "ACT LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE". I did not see that last night and normally do not when watching the state teams play from Florida.

I am a fan of all the Florida teams and what this state produces in talent, I would like to see the coaches get control and unify the team to play together. One thing that is interesting is there were 33 players from the state of Florida on the Cardinal team last night. What ever Charlie Strong is doing to control such behavior is working and other coaches should learn from him.

Sid I think that game was a watershed moment for Kelly in terms of sideline demeanor. I don't think he's less intense, but he's more aware that the camera's are on him 100% of the time and they are waiting for him to meltdown.

Unfortuneately for him his complexion goes beet red when he gets mad like that. Other coaches also get mad, Steve Spurrier is famous for his visor spikes, how can anybody forget Woody's sideline tirades, and Saban is no saint. But none of them get that beet red complexion when they get mad.
