Can someone explain to me why all women's softball infields are dirt?

the ball travels faster. If they had a grass infield, it would slow the ball way down.

It was a great run for Alabama. It's a shame that those two titans had to meet so early in the tournament.

UCLA opened up a can of whoop ass on OU last night. Now have to just win 1 out of the next 2 to get the WCWS Championship. They were up early and got to rest Garcia, she only had to throw 61 pitches.

Yeah, OU is not explosive, they seem to grind away. If you don't get up on them early they seem to just wear you down. UCLA was able to do just that.

Watched a bit of the game last night, UCLA is really a dominant team that pressures you constantly. Some of those ladies could play football!:)

Heard an interview on ESPNU of a coach of a Travel Softball team in the "Inland Empire" which is where I believe JO'Co and Diane lived before their current spot in Apple Valley. He had 6 players in the championship game and apparently has a long history of developing top talent for College Softball.

UCLA is really has a tremendous history of success in softball. OU has as well.

The IE is where I'm from and it's still where JOCO and Diane currently live. It's massive. The baseball and softball played there is second to none.

That area is crawling with travel ball teams, public batting cages and private coaching academies for both baseball and softball.

Well my Gators made a good run on the arm of our pitcher Kelly Barnhill.

One thing in looking at the records of each team I have no idea why we were seeded higher than Alabama. They had a better record and I believe took the season series from us. We did win the SEC tournament but Bama was the better team.

y'all should get out to more games. They are a lot of fun. Baseball around the SEC is a blast. You haven't lived until you've sat thru 9 innings of your right fielder being tortured by the Georgia frat house in right field.
