Well my modus operandi is to get the security people to think that I'm trying to smggle a keg into the stadium. That way they're distracted from finding other containers that are strategically placed. :)

Cindy and I are game as long as it is on a weekend. With the economy the way it is, Applied Materials is talking about taking many forced vacations which will drain my vacation time. Now that I think about it, if the "reunion" happens on a week with a holiday, AMAT will probably be shut down that entire week and we would be available.

Ok, here's what I have so far. For the basic group rate, we would need at least 20 people. That's $30 for a ticket and all you can eat. Alcohol is get it as you want it.

So far I'm thinking a Saturday night game (game time is TBD but the guy at the Royals office said they're always 6:10 pm 1st pitch) sometime from the middle of July to 1st week of August. Folks could Fly/Drive in on Friday, leave on Sunday. That gives us these options:

Jul 18 = Rays (Jiffy would like that)
    Jul 25 = Rangers
    Aug 8 = A's

Gates open several hours prior to the event, depending on the estimated crowd size.

The Royals guy told me that we have about 2-weeks from yesterday to obligate to the group rate to ensure we get enough space. The obligation is $1 per ticket. I can secure the reservation from my end. The rest can be paid on game day or in advance by each interested member.

Obviously we'll need to start gettin' commitments before we can get exact numbers. So well start to try and narrow this down to a date and anticipated numbers.

All 3 of those Saturday dates will work for me. I anticipate bringing momma and the 2 boys (4 total).

Here's who have given me a warm fuzzie that they would attend.

    BOBDA
    COREY
    DOC
    JIFFY
    GEROGE
    GIPPER
    BDR
    SID
    SCOTT
    GATOR BILL
    OUTBOUND
    TOM & CINDY

    That's 13 members + my 4 = 17

We still have a few regular members that have yet to chime in. Please let us know if your interested.

A couple of things. My wife will likely be with me and my brother-in-law and sister who live in KC and I believe we will be staying with might want to go also. My sister is a Gator and Brother-In-Law a Jayhawk.

AJ, thanks for trying to set this up and the Andy Jaskewicz is a nice touch.

I hope we pull this off.

See what a little college education can do for a guy? :)

Will you have DVD's of the Gator Bowl available for all guests?

That time of the year should be fine. I'd either bring 2 or 3 people depending on when Carson has a vacation with his mother.

    AJ count me for 2.
Can this number be boosted later on?
If something comes up I will still pay for the tickets.

Come on you guys show some imagination. JIF, rent a van. Pick up Krebsie in NJ. I'll drive down to New Albany to visit my grandkids and you can pick Don, Terry and I up there. On to Indy to hook up with Sid and somewhere we can get Stu on board. Off to St. Louis and finally KC. Should be a hell of a trip.

Ok, after I find out the deal from the Royals office, I'll come up with a initial proposal in the next day or so. Hey, thanks for the interest so far.

It's not a commitment on anyones part, but if ALL that are interested, could take a guess on # of people and a prefered date, that would help.

Jiffy, your pissin' me off.

BTW, I've still got that bottle of A.H. Hirsch.....mmmmmmmmmmmm.
