Why the hell would you get all these people together for such a wonderful event and then subject them to Royals baseball? If Mikey were still with KC I could get free tickets, but I believe he's with the A's now.
I know, but I just wanted to be the first person to proclaim that "Gators don't ever travel" out of their part of the county!!!
I'll wait to see "where" this all shakes out. Pro anything doesn't excite me, but I could probably be swayed to attend for the company. I'm thinking of hitting the CWS this year, so maybe I'll see some of you there if I get there...
Wow, the Kansas City thing really works for me if the timing is right. If you are talking this summer I can plan my vacation to be there anytime between May 18 and June 8. Before that is to soon for me to leave here and after that we have reservations in Colorado from June 11 - 20 that we can't break and have to be back here for a family camping trip the week ending July 4 and we will have a grandkids week sometime in July. Other weeks in July and August would also be possible for us to return. But it can get really hot out there that time of year. I've been to the new Royals stadium and it is really nice.
Ok, that's a starting point Bill. BTW, it's going to be a brand new ball park this year. They've done 220 millions dollars of renovations to the park.
I'm a newbie so won't cast a vote but would be very interested in meeting you all. Never been to a pro baseball game either.
I like the K.C. idea on a weekend. My work schedule is unpredicable as I have no control over when cases that I am assigned are set for hearing; but if given enough of an advance warning, I would make my best effort to clear my schedule and make it. I can't guarantee anything but, like I said, I would be very interested.
If Bobda comes somebody has to volunteer to strip search him so that he doesn't sneak in a BobbleHead Lloyd to jinx the Irish at the reunion!! Nurse AJ would probably be the best given his medical training along with being a former Marine!
I do not think there is a Coach Carr bobblehead that was mass produced. An Ohio woodcarver made one but I do not think it is for sale:
I hadn't read everything when I posted earlier. The June dates don't work for me, but I think the other ones could if I knew early enough. If it's the one of the July dates I would need to know because that is the month that for one week we have all our grandkids here and it's usually planned well in advance. I like the idea.
Hey, KC itself isn't boring. Great shops and places to eat at the Plaza. Barbeque, riverboat casinos, golf courses, great steaks if it only wasn't for the baseball thing.....
Outbound. Don't worry, if we go see the Royals, that streak will be intact AJ, Funny you should ask that. I got off work and made a call only to be blindsided by some news I didn't catch earlier and have NO idea how I missed it. Mike Sweeney might retire I will see what I can shake out though.. BTW, I'd really appreciate it if you guys read the article. That's a nice tribute to him.
