I finished college in '69 with my grandmother's 55 Pontiac. When I turned on the lights the face of chief Pontiac on the hood lit up. It must have weighed 8000 lbs.
Your grandmother's car is one of the great cars of the 50s! http://www.independentmail.com/features/motormouth/motor-mouth-1955-pontiac-is-the-chief-of-classic-cars-ep-499522941-339382611.html
I'M IN!!! Arriving in Tampa 10/12 for 5 nights of S. Florida fun and sun! I booked a condo at Ocean's Reach. Ralph, I would love to take you up one part of a day to show the kid the farm and pick a few tangerines. When we get closer to the date and down to making more firm plans, let me know which day would be the best to come up for a visit. One idea is that Mickie could bring the kid one day when we finish up killing hogs. The other is we could come up Thursday or Friday when the place isn't so busy with visitors wanting to kill things. Mickie is also open to ideas about what to do while we're there, so let's hear 'em. Can't wait!!!
Fantastic, I'm wide open at the moment, my personal plans are to totally goof off for that week, probably get a beach resort for the bride and I as well...Lord knows I have a bazillion days of vacation I never have taken off over the years.. As far as the farm is concerned I want to do my best to share the great outdoors with everyone and show why it's a slice of heaven with lots of alligators, hogs, deer, bald eagles, turtles, snakes, fish...... I may even plant another dove field just for the heck of it if anyone is interested...Anything is possible.. Regardless the SW Florida area is incredible to visit with the family which is why it keeps growing...I just thought of it but there is no reason I can't employ my irrigation man to drag his airboat out and give airboat rides as well...
