Don, I think that is the most important thing. I know all of the arguments about getting 5 star guys, but I think filling holes is the most important job of the recruiters. 8)
Lulz, Miami is currently ranked #20 by 247sports and the turdhead fans are in meltdown that Richt did not do better, let's completely ignore that the guy had about two weeks to recruit against other schools that had a year or two...The shytty thing about fans is that they are fanatics and don't have to think logically or make much sense... Congrats to all....I was impressed with both Duke and Pittsburgh being ranked as high as they are...
Remember the kid who Harbaugh slept over with, Connor Murphy? Well he signed with USC. Maybe Harbaugh snores?
Did they move up that much? I checked the other day and they were at #8, I think. There is so much talent around the country that I really think the top 10 teams are all pretty damned close, and like I said above. It's all about restocking areas of need not just stars.

You don't hear much about this, but it's something I am dealing with now in 2 sports and is very much the reality of the situation regarding recruiting. http://www.clarionledger.com/story/...t/2016/01/30/cost-getting-recruited/79563374/
Yeah he didn't sign with anybody and as I said in the ND topic he's reportedly dragging it out till he gets his most recent SAT score and hopes it's good enough to get into Stanford. If not he'll probably take the Kelly Bus to South Bend.
The Gators have signed 25 and finished either barely in the top 10 or just outside the top 10. That is not as well as we expected to do but it's a large class and 12 of them were early entries. Like Ralph with his Canes I find a lot of Gator fans totally unrealistic in their expectations.
B <t>TOK's perspective on the importance of varous position groups.

QB - el numero uno...it starts and ends here, you have to have a good qB.
DL - Since QB is so important you have to be able to rush them
DB - Again since QB is so important you have to be able to defend the WR
OL - Protect the QB.
LB - last piece to the great defense
WR - Somebody has to catch the ball and get open
ST -
RB - I know it's great to have a Heisman RB, but if your OL is good and your QB is good there are a lot of RB's out there that can really help your offense.</t>
Terry, I think the only change I would make is to reverse OL and DB's. I thing the lines on both sides of the ball are keys.
I have always said if I was to start a team I want great OL and DL first and foremost. Of course it doesn't hurt at all to have a Calvin Ridley, Amani Cooper or Julio Jones befuddling the other guy's DBs either.
Considering that your LT position next year may be filled by a true freshman who is among those signed... that leaves the 9 you signed this year plus what you had on the roster returning, to battle for 4 spots. That's how Alabama stays on top. It's the emphasis on OL/DL play.
