    1951 Joel...3:58 PM Oct 3rd.

I was 5 years old. Didn't really get to be a baseball fan till 1955 when I adopted the Dodgers.

1951 indeed ( I was a senior at Worcester Academy and graduated in 1952). I was in my dorm listening to the game!

Worcester Academy??? I can't believe that, my great niece is a freshman at Worcester Academy this fall, her family (my nephew) live in Shrewsbury. She completed catholic school at St. Bernadettes and applied to St. Marks and Worcester and decided on Worcester. She's a freshman and plays on the Varsity Soccer team.

What'ya know we have a connection. She's Class 2018 and you were 1952! Do you ever go back?

small world, Doc!! when I was there it was strictly boarding for males only.Shirt and tie to all classes and dining room. The 1951 football team was undefeated and untied and unscored on playing college freshman teams. Its a great school...ranks up there with Exeter and Andover. Tell your great niece I wished her a happy OS-KEE-WAWA( she will know what I said!) ..and yes I have gone back a few times...its only 40 miles from rhode island.

In 1951, my mother was a 13 year old school girl. I came along 7 years later.

I was in the 9th grade and remember that so well. I was a baseball nut in those days and a big Cleveland Indian fan. Used to use a small electric radio to pick up and baseball or football games I could get.

My memory may be wrong but I think that game was a day game on a school game and I heard about it after the fact.
