ok so here's the thing. For a long time now, I've been saying (long before many 'experts') that I didn't think Tebow could play for a long time as a QB in the NFL. There is a certain edge to Bill's posts here. Is Tim not allowed to think that? Should he be belittled? I mean, I like Tebow a lot. I actually HOPES he has success. edit, if that kid can't complete the dream then who can? He talks it and walks it. However, this is the NFL. You can be a felon in this league and all that effects is your immediate free agent status.. In this league, either you do or you don't. And Tebow has a lot of those things that can't be measured..especially heart and 'want to.'.. However, with many of those things that can be measured, he does appear to be lacking... Tim's not a bad guy for thinking that Tebow is a nice kid, great college career but might not make it in the NFL... I want to be wrong about Tebow, but I take exception to giving Tim **** over having an opinion...especially one that appears to be growing. That being said.. I really hope I'm wrong about Tebow.. Hell, the Chargers thought dumping Drew Brees was a good idea then again, they're the Chargers for a reason..
From CFN: "QB Tim Tebow, Florida - A generation from now, Tebow will still be cited as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game, which pretty much says it all. He was a part of two national championship teams, was the first sophomore to ever capture the Heisman, and piled up a mess of records over four years in Gainesville. The face of college football for an amazing three seasons, he wound up accounting for an NCAA-record 145 touchdowns and more than 12,000 total yards." A truly great college player.......but it stops there. What he does in the NFL remains to be seen and unlike some prima donna "can't miss" prospects he will be happy just to make the first 3 rounds or so. I give him a chance to contribute in the NFL but I worry about the concussion he suffered. My feeling is that another one in the NFL will end his playing days.
there it is folks.. the stepping stone. Tebow wont make it in the pros because of a concussion..... behold
Actually Corey the scenario I envision is that he tries very hard....like he is so known for......and consider that a large part of his success in college was the physical, take on all challengers type of thing. That attitude in the NFL will land you a very quick concussion and for Tebow probably a fast exit from the league..
