Alabama was on and Tennessee was off and on. Congrats to KP, Bryan, and the rest of the Bama nation!

Calapari continues to get a class full of 5***** players who only play one year and are off to the NBA. This year was an outlier for him. He will continue to win big at Kentucky.

However how many NCAA Championships he will win is another story. I am still convinced that a good team with juniors and seniors have a good chance to beat a team full of 5 star players who are freshmen. That immaturity can catch up with them.

    Just my thoughts.

    Terry,
I am under no illusions. Alabama is an okay basketball team. Probably not in the top 65. :(

kp, I would have to disagree about Bama not being in the top 65. However there ae a number of champions from smaller conferences who are are not in the top 65 will be in the tournament. I don't have a problem with that s it is much needed income for some of those conferences.

But your team is better than you seem to want to admit. They were the 4th seed in the SEC ahead of Missouri, Tennessee and others. In fact ahead of all but Florida, Ole Miss and Kentucky.

Finals in the SEC tomorrow, Florida and Ole Miss.

    Bill,
I watched it happen several times this season, just like today. Take a medium sized lead into the second half, lose the lead because they miss 3 pointers and end up losing by 8 or 10. I appreciate your input but when I watch the top tier teams work their offense, I just feel jealousy. We seem to dribble around and try to get one guy open for a 3. Good defense but no real offense other than shoot a 3.

Alabama is a frustrating team to watch. They just give away points on the free throw line and as KP pointed out, they miss wide open 3s.

I think they have a very fine coach. That's a program that is a legit, big-time point guard away from being a tourney team easily. They get big, athletic bodies to hammer the boards at Bama. They need better guard play. They play defense and their coach is a good one. If he can pull off a recruiting coupe somewhere, they'd be something.

I agree with you completely Corey. But even with being a point guard away I think they are a pretty good team and I personally don't understand it if they are not in the NCAA Tournament.

Did either of you watch the Syracuse - Louisville game tonight? Syracuse led by as many as 14 and lost by double digits. Louisville is good enough to come back like that and so are the Gators. It is not a disgrace to lose to this Gator team which is as good as any in the country.

Notice I did not say better. I believe there are as many as a dozen teams that could win it all this year in a very balanced year. But I do believe that we are the only SEC team this year with a chance.

I didn't watch it but that's not surprising. The Lou can score in bunches, but I think a team that can slow them down or D them up will end their year.

Yeah, I see them as a number one seed.

How about the University of Miami and what they have done this season. They will probably win the ACC Tournament tomorrow. And in my opinion they should be a number one seed ahead of Duke.

It makes sense that Miami would finally land a great team, at the same time I find myself thinking "man, Miami finally landed a great team" I agree. I think they should be a 1 ahead of Duke.

UF's come from behind win yesterday bolsters my ebbed feelings about what the Gators might do in the upcoming NCAAs.

A win today could get them to a #2 seed.

Still think that at some point in crunch time their old losing ways show up and they go down because they just can't make clutch shots down the stretch.....a killing blow in a tight NCAA tourney game.

Two blowouts get them to the Sweet 16 and then lights out in the next tilt in a close one.....close but no cigar for the Gators.

Nobody saw that coming!!! Old Piss wins the SEC Tourney. I wouldn't have bet 50 cents with 10,000:1 odds on that one.

Another 5* for Kentucky...maybe best college basketball class ever...even better than the "Fab Five"...which never won a Nat'l Championship.
    Best Ever?

No excuse for them to lose to RM.....ever. UK has intramural league teams that would dominate RM.......

That's disrespectful toward a decent Robert Morris program.
