Man there have been some incredible catches of the long balls, this time the Gators get one. 29-15

 

What a defense! And Derrick Henry made a block on a touchdown pass that gave Coker time to complete the pass. What a gamer. I don't give damn if they give him the Heisman or not. He is another Alabama great.

 

Derrick Henry is a great football player.

 

Needless to say, I am a happy camper. I don't know what the stats are but Florida was not able to put together any offense and Alabama did what they had to do to win. Roll Tide.

To answer your question T, 21 carries for 15 yards, and a qbr of 5.1 (9/24, 165, 1, 1).

 

Did anyone watch the post-game interview with Saban and Henry? Henry looked 8 feet tall next to Saban and the interviewer. He's a huge man.

 

Congratulation Kp, The Tide was the only team to make it back to the final four from last year. That is a major accomplishment in my opinion.

Now it's 4-4 in the SEC Title game between the two schools.

You beat one of the better defenses we have had out there in spite of the fact we had three defenders around the ball on that Odell Beckham type catch and Vernon Hargreaves draped all over the other guy on his TD.

Those two TDS were the difference maker for Bama.

Also... you beat one of the worst Qbs that Florida has ever trotted out there to play in any game much less a game of this magnitude.

The bowl game will probably be the last of Treon Harris at Qb for Florida.

 

Dave if I remember correctly Treon was highly recruited by not only the Gators but FSU and others to play quarterback. His father and brother were and are outstanding high school football coaches and his Dad is currently a coach at Miami known for his recruiting ability....

 

Derrick Henry has to have one of the weirdest hairdo's I've seen in awhile.

 

I'm thinking a few Bama fans can live with the hair and consider him a ten....

 

I can live with the hair and Henry is a beast, but the other Derek is the 10! :wink:

UF also recruited a Qb named Bobby Sable back in the 90s if I remember correctly and he was a huge recruit to get.... and a huge bust.

The only thing Treon does well is not turn the ball over like Driskel did and impress McElwain in practice....

 

I'll go on record right now and say that all three possible opponents for Alabama in the playoffs will be trouble for Bama because all three can play both offense and defense.

This will be the playoff for the National Championship. If it is done right then this will always be very competitive. 8)

Just sayin that Bama will not enjoy a TOP of 43 1/2 minutes vs. 16 1/2 minutes like they did vs. a woeful offensive team like the Gators.
