Forgot about Ole Miss so I guess 6-3 is a possibility for the SEC.......which would be pretty damned good this bowl season.

    We will see.....

yes, 6-3 is just AWESOME when the "experts" (ESPN and Vegas) thought the SEC should go 9-0 due to their superiority. Even my more realistic rankings of quality required them to go at least 7-2 based on the lop-sided matchups they would face. Yeah, 6-3 is now a GREAT results for the SEC.

6-3 would represent the conference pretty well is all I am saying.

That said.... 6-3 is still a tall task.

I see Ole Miss winning and TexA$M and Bama as toss-ups but I hope they can both win.

Overall I do think the SEC is down this year over some years recently where the conference may have been stronger but as a whole..... still the toughest conference out there.

    FWIW, I agree.

    TOK,

The only major problem I had with the Outback Bowl was our butt-ugly “special” uniforms. Yellow Numbers? Matted helmets? If our AD was GM of the Yankees, the classic pinstripe look would be transformed into the uniform of the Houston Astros circa 1986.

We looked like a Canadian Football League expansion team. Goodbye Tom Harmon. Say hello to the Windsor Wolverines.

SC had an obvious talent advantage over us. M is still recovering from the RR era and I still think it will be another 2 years or so before our talent level is back to past standards. Both Mattison and Borges did a great job in game preparation and nearly pulled off beating a more talented team coached by a legend.

With the exception of the Purdue game, the B10 has done better than I expected.

From the aesthetic standpoint of an old fart, Rose Bowl was joyous to watch. Hard hitting smash mouth football that was cleanly played with minimal theatrics. Looked like an ESPN Classic contest from the 70's

Optimistic about next year. We play Satanic Empires 1 and 2 at home and, in the Hole era, we have not yet lost at home. Our toughest road games are NW and MSU and I do not expect much from MSU next year as several of their key players will go pro. A 10-2 or 11-1 year is not out of the question.

But I am really nervous now that MCG is now calling the BCS championship game a "toss up" following the Sugar Bowk game. Lloyd and I have been dreaming about gorging on a BAPP since Christmas but now it sounds as if I will be trying to hide yet another American Spoon entry on the family credit card from spousal perusal.

Ahhh, my new year's celebration is complete now that Bobda has chimed in with his intellectually humorous commentary. I now am comfortable that 2013 will be a good year for all.

yeah I don't think it was a good year for UM or ND special uniforms, although I did like out Ireland uniforms...the rest meh.

I have checked to make sure BAPP will be available and that they haven't sold out...but of course I'm hoping for goodies from the North! :)
