Steve Addazzio to B.C. Art Briles signs extension Brett Bilema to Arkansas Tenn supposedly has Charlie Strong as #1 on their list. Now open.....Louisville, Wisconsin, Temple,....
Oh yeah and former Houston Oiler, Eddie George is returning to Ohio State in a position that is very broad in description. In the article I see that Eddie has a degree in Landscape Architecture. That's impressive, getting that degree and playing football took some serious dedication to both.
Well, Terry alluded to this but here is public confirmation: Charlie Strong is at the top of the UT coach search list. I would welcome him with open arms if this happens! Even if he was a gdg in the past.
Supposedly Dave Hart the Tenn AD is on a plane headed to Louisville and expects Strong to accept a 5 year 23M contract. Louisville AD has supposedly said he's ready to make Strong the highest paid coach in FBS if that's what it takes to keep him at Louisville. Stay tuned.
Terry, Hart is already back in Knoxville. Strong has the offer and didn't say no. I fully expect him to just use this to get more money out of Louisville. I will be happy to be proven wrong though. I think the figure you quoted may be a mistake. He now makes $2.3 million per year at Louisville. If the $23 million over 5 years is correct, that would double is salary. May be true but the 2.3 vs 23 sounds like that could have been mixed up.
Strong turned downed a 3.5M/year offer from Tenn and will stay at Louisviile! Papa John is going to have to sell a lot more pizza.
I'm afraid you are right Terry. Hart is having the same success as Hamilton when he brought in Dooley. I just don't know what it is going to take to bring in a coach to a university like Tennessee that has amazing facilities ready for the right person.
WTF? They can't sell enough pizza to cover that.. He's holding out for something.. No way passing by Tennessee for 'the Lou' makes any sense at all.
This is funny, I'm pretty sure I saw when the Irish were looking for a coach and hired Kelly.....just changed the school name.
I have never been been a fan of Tubberville. I would rather have Fulmer back... to coach until Peyton is ready to retire.
Cincinnati team meeting happening at 07:30. Guess we may know where he is going soon... or not. Tennessee has Jones at the top of the list
