I thought that Wisconsin would win. I had reservations of course as evidenced by my 4 points wagered. However, as mentioned in the NEw Years Day bowls topic, I'm glad TCU put that Whisky Student section in it's place! Congrats to TCU.

I can't believe Wisc didn't line up and pound the ball on the 2 point conversion? Line up in a heavy formation, 3 backs behind the QB. They would have scored to tie the game. Instead they got cute.

But congrats to the Horned Frogs, I was sort of suprised to see the Rose Bowl pretty much 50-50 in terms of the crowd. There is talk around here give the success of Texas teams in the Rose Bowl about moving it to Texas! :)

I really thought that Wisc would wear down TCU, that big OL and their big backs just pounding the lighter TCU defenders into mush by the 4th Qtr and win going away. Shows you how much I know.

Bad Day for the B10. Counting Neb (B12 sure doesn't want to count them) B10 is what 0-6 in bowl games.

From what? The 2 dual citizens on this board, or the the Big 2 1/2?.....I'll give ya a second on that one....

Besides, I'm pretty sure, mainly due to my reluctance to go for his throat as others have on this board over the years, I have secured a loyal friend to help me out in months to come.....remember the scene from Crocodile Dundee part 2?......"You Should have brought a Gun mate.....Oh, I don't need a gun mate, I've got a BOBDA...."

BOBDA....proud member of the Legends division...... :D

Just remember that fellow Legend Bobda will support you in your non-conf or bowl games but in between he will cut your heart out in a second...or steal your bowl of ice cream with no remorse. :)

Before the Huskers win any Big Ten titles, they'd better find a way to beat Washington. Notre Dame has never lost to the Huskies...

I made a New Year's resolution to avoid conflict AJ. After getting a good night sleep aided by Wisconsin's best herbal medication--Lakeside Brewery's Cream City Ale-- I spent the entire day peacefully lighting votive candles and chanting in Pali at a picture of Jim Harbaugh.

Peace Be With You, Conference Brother....

LOL! You Wolvies had better get out your wallets if you want to outbid the Denver Broncos. Harbaugh won't come cheap...

BTW- A lot of guys from my old high school played for Harbaugh at the University of San Diego, including the son of one of my friends. His players just worship him. Whatever he wants, pay it. He's worth it...

At least the West Coast Huskies anyway....

NU can say the same about Tulsa...even though the Omaha YMCA did give us a run for the money a couple of times. 8)

Besides, it was the LOM game. NU had just beat them up at their place in Sept. UW will be back in Lincoln for part 2 of the Home and Home this Sept. There will be quite a few seniors to remind the other players what happned in San Diego the year before.

    Jo Co,

Assuming H goes to the NFL, my guess is plan B would be Brady Hoke. Your thoughts on him?

If plan C is Les Miles, I am going to spend the next year in a Milwaukee bar drinking myself into oblivion.

    Ha! LOL again.

A change from Rich Rod to the Mad Hatter would be a sideways maneuver in Wonderland wouldn't it? Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Brady Hoke is the real deal. Like Tressel or Kelly he's come up through the ranks winning with much less talent than he would have access to in Ann Arbor. Somebody is going to grab him that's for sure. There's no way that San Diego State can pay him what he's worth while their attendance is only 22,000 with no guarantee of a BCS game in the MWC. The money just isn't there. Before the football team produces that kind of money he'll be long gone.

Nobody wins at places like Ball State and SDSU, but this guy does. Just three years ago, the Aztecs lost 70-3 to New Mexico; now nobody wants to schedule them. He's that good. He's also being sly about his next job move. Minnesota came around asking about him, so SDSU had to extend his contract out to 2015; but Minnehaha isn't what he wants. Brady Hoke was a long-time assistant coach at Michigan and the Wolvies are his dream job. It wouldn't take an NFL size offer to pry him out of San Diego if the offer is from Ann Arbor. That's where he wants to go.

Either Harbaugh or Hoke are no-lose propositions for Michigan IMHO. Who knows, you guys might even have a defense that hits people again...

Think you all may be selling the Mad Hatter short. Personally if he were to leave LSU for Michigan I would be glad we don't have to play him every year.

On the other hand, I would love to matchup Kelly against the Mad Hatter every year, but I dread the thought of Michigan landing Harbaugh. It's already a yearly nightmare just having him at Stanford...
