As predicted by this writer 4 weeks ago..Payrod will hit 90 dingers..drive in 250 runs..bat 440....so what does this get them without pitching?
You guys just can't be this misinformed, can you? They have three starting pitchers on the DL. They are pitching guys who should be in Scranton. Their top two pitchers have appeared in one game this year. That changes everything. Sadly, you're probably right about them chasing Clemens. They have a pitcher in AAA, Philip Hughes, who is considered possibly the top minor league pitcher at the moment. I'd bring him up and give Rajah a map to Boston. I think you guys are just pulling my chain. Or you don't get newspapers or watch TV.
Hughes is being called up..scheduled to start TH. They should becareful with him..look what happened rushing Hanson and DelCarmen last year!
George is right. This thread is supposed to be about A-Rod, not the Yankees. Who brought the whole team into it? 8) The Yankees are fine. You guys really should read a newspaper once in a while. BTW, I see Wang is scheduled to start tonight. I know Mussina and Pavano are on the DL, but who's the third starter that's injured?
Okay, two starters on the DL today, with Pavano being one of them. How many starts did he have for the Yankees last season?
Have a cup of americas best coffee!! Dunkin Donut Coffee!! It's true, surveys always come up with it better than Starbucks!!
Cup of coffee. I could talk "coffee" all day. Starbucks is too strong for my taste, plus I dont pay 3.50 for a 10 oz cup of JOE! Maybe Im living in the past, but in 1961 when I opened my first Mister Donut shop, we sold coffee for 10 cents a 6 oz cup. ( 12 cents to go). Coffee and donut 21 cents and that included the tax :!: The coffee at that time cost a penny a cup. I understand now the coffee Dunkin sells for 1.75 a cup costs 11 cents. Mind boggling :!:
Because of the time difference, our day is almost half over and Rick's day is just beginning. Having said that, Godfather (George), no one works as hard as you. Your days are NEVER slow. Signed, Your butt-kissing midwest lieutenant
I wonder if Toronto and Tampa Bay will now go back to their losing ways after having once again beaten up on their respective bitches of the last few seasons. :?
Wow, what an April to remember for Alex Rodriguez - .355 average, 14 home runs and 34 RBI! It's ironic that Rodriguez is playing so well while the rest of his team is playing like the Tankees. If someone were to have predicted this at the beginning of the month I would have waited a few seconds, expecting them to eventually exclaim... But hey, when you perennially have the highest payroll in baseball you know better days are certainly ahead.
