8) Tom welcome to the golden state... a bit soggy up there.... any chance your coming south.....we are a bit soggy to .. Jim is actually been tdriving through snow stroms to get to work....D
I am trying to cram 10 work days into 7. I was supposed to be here in Santa Clara on Monday morning. Due to a lemon law claim that Cindy and I had against a RV manufacturer, I had to be in a hearing on Tuesday. Therefore, I did not fly out until yesterday and got very little accomplished upon my arrival. That is a long way of saying that I will probably be working through the weekend and will have no time to travel south. Sorry... It has been too long since we last met. Nothing much has changed with me except for lighter/heavier... Lighter hair color, heavier on the scales! :?
No doubt about it George. 3 bucks a gallon is right around the corner. My guess that should happen around Memorial Day. PJ in Ewing
2.95 in the shopping areas in Gainesville. 2.85 at the "cheap" stations out of town. I think it was just a couple months ago when the cheap stations were in the low 2.20's and we were looking forward to it hitting the teens. Never made it. Prices are higher here now than after Katrina - with no logical excuse to point a finger at. Grrrr.
$2.54.9 for 87 octane at the Jersey shore. Up .05 this week! When I was at my place in Florida in early March 87 octane was $2.77. We usually spike here every year in May because of tourist season. This year the runup could be huge.
The next Enron fraud: Exxon & such. In a couple of years, we will have some investigations on the price gouging that's going on. We thought Katrina caused all the supply problems, and the price now is more than it was after Katrina. And to think my dumb Governor cancelled school for a day or so, no how did that help? Only cost citizens time off work and baby sitters.
 isn't it great to know we've all pitched in to give the retiring CEO of Exxon a 400 mill. retirement kiss. I guess I missed the part where he found the cure for cancer , the answer to a lasting peace in the middle east(Not in our lifetimes) ,cheap cold fusion, and a way for the Indians to win the W.S. this year.
TB wrote: TB, I don't like the fuel prices any more than anyone else here on The Skybox. Your above quote may soon be true but to this date, it is not... at least in my area it is not true. The price spiked to $2.809 shortly after Katrina according to my records. Cindy filled up yesterday at $2.649 It could be above $2.809 next week at the rate it is going. I hope that I can still prove you wrong then as well. The only good thing, if there is a good thing, is that my big diesel truck is now cheaper to drive than my little gas truck. :?
... also, diesel spiked to $3.209 and is now $2.569. Quite a difference. Not a good price as far as I am concerned, but still better than late 2005 after Katrina.
You've jumped into the lead, PJ. $2.74.9 for 87 octane at the Jersey shore. This is insanity.
I noticed 2.80 on the ride home last night. What a mess this Country is in! An honest analyst on Bloomberg said it best yesterday.."I see inflation everywhere except in the inflation reports'. This President has secured my beliefs that if you want to live like a Republican, you better vote Democrat. Damn what a mess he has made!
That's laughable. My biggest problems with the Republicans is that they have lost their way... they now spend like the Democrats.
