Either the flu or a severe cold has envaded my body. Didn't get out of the house today except to go feed the cows. Got to keep the steak on the hoof fattened up. I am hearing that it has continued on the downward trend here but I'm not sure.
Regular in my zipcode ranges from 2.079 all the way to 2.209. Here is a website where I got that information. Just put in your zipcode and find out what the stations in your zip are charging. Pretty interesting. In Bill's zipcode (34744) the price range for Regular is 2.199 to 2.459 In Tom's zipcode(76537)only lists 2 stations both at 2.191 In JO'Co's zipcode ( 91763) it goes from 2.379 to 2.779 Here's the website. Gas Price by Zip
 Ummm! Do you think its time we moved considering Joco drives at least 120 miles a day .... and it looks like this week he will be driving in snow... this should be interesting
Terry, That site does not show any stations in 76537. Notice that what it found was a Texaco in Salado about 11 miles north in the next county and a Chevron in Georgetown about 13 miles south of 76537. There are 4 stations in 76537: Diamond Shamrock (truck stop), Exxon, Shell, and Texas Star (truck stop). I normally buy my unleaded fuel in zipcode 78754. That is at a Wal-Mart about a mile from my workplace. That station isn't even listed on this site. I drive 80 miles round trip every day and have many options for fuel, mostly 3 different Wal-Marts and an independant truck stop, the Texas Star mentioned above. Presently, or at least on Friday, that Wal-Mart station in 78754 was at $2.099 and they offer a $0.03/gallon discount for using a Wal-Mart credit card. I have this card only for my fuel purchases. That takes the price to $2.069. The diesel at that station is $2.469 after discount. I have no idea why, but the Georgetown Wal-Mart (zip code 78628) has diesel at $2.339 after discount and that price has not changed in several months. The Georgetown Wal-Mart is usually about $0.02 per gallon higher on unleaded than the 78754 Wal-Mart. Occasionally, the Texas Star mentioned above will have Diesel at or below Wal-Mart. That, however, is fairly rare.
2.19 in Dayton Sun. Di, just saw your post. Mary and I spent a few days at LaQuinta. She had a meeting in San Diego on Feb. 13. We spent a night at the Ontario Marriott but didn't get in until pretty late. I'll give you a heads up next time we're going to be in the area.
PJNJ: Old Bridge? You're only about 15 miles from me now. You and I and AJNJ got to get together. Gipper in Dayton! My hometown!! Oh, I almost forgot. Saw $1.99 in Brick, NJ.
No idea what it is like here right now. My "cold/Flu "symptoms kept getting worse. The ER doc diagnosed it as Pneumonia. I am home until at least Monday. ARGH! :x
Terry wrote: Actually, I'm not too sure about that. I've had so many stones (102) that I think my ureter is so routed out that they come out much easier these days. There was a guy in the ER this morning suffering from appearant kidney stones. They were doing the "Lock N Load" procedure. That is where they give ample doses of a demerol/fenergin coctail. This guy was still yelling at the top of his lungs after receiving enough meds to knock me out. I wanted to go into that room and tell him to suck it up. I felt too bad to even do that.
I am now in California (Silicon Valley). When I left Austin yesterday, I had just paid $2.429 for unleaded. Diesel was up to $2.499. :?
