    <t>Gas here in Florence shot up .40c in a matter of 2 weeks. I've never seen anything like that, not even the market rapes during hurricane season. I was paying $1.90 a gallon. It actually made it financially possible for me to see Carson more often for about a 2 or 3 week period. I could afford to take mid-week trips to drive the 2 hours round trip. Now with gas at a shade under 2.50, its back to having to wait for the weekends trips.<br/>
    <br/>
    On my way to work, I pass this giant gas price billboard. I watched, in horror, as one day the price went back up. I'd come back home from work and it had gone up 5 cents.. I woke up the next morning and it was up another 10 cents. You get the picture.<br/>
    <br/>
    I eagerly await for someone to tell me how/why the 'Republicans' are behind the largest jump in price that I've seen with my own eyes.<br/>
    <br/>
    The cost of gas in re the cost of living here is bordering on having a massive effect on the economy. This area reminds me so much of the booming SoCal of the80s and 90s. People take jobs in the bigger cities but mortgage massive homes in the suburbs. There aren't jobs in the burbs that they can take closer to home. The cost of gas will take its toll on the agricultural community as well now that the spring is right around the corner.<br/>

    I thought Nancy Pelosi was going to save us from all this?</t>

    Cindy wote that on Feb 27. Here it is a month later and gas is up another 25 cents to $2.499. Where is the reform that was to come with the dems in charge?

    $3.25 @ Upland, CA. Gas is now up a full $1.00 per gallon since the Democrats took over the Congress in January. (Less than 90 days.) If they weren't already part of the International Communist Conspiracy I would swear that they were in bed with the oil companies...

    Damn, it's even over $3 here. When the hell are the Democrats going to do something about the price of gas. As we all know, Washington can just snap it's fingers and influence the price of gas. Well, it's time for them to do something.

    Gas prices at the pump up 40%+ under Nancy Pelosi's Democratically controlled Congress. And we thought it was because Bush and Cheney were in bed with big oil.... 8)

    What I find simply amazing is the people that were calling for the heads of the republicans (especially 2 here in this board) are now very silent. Where is the outrage over the Democrats that are doing nothing to control the exponentially rising fuel costs?

    When I bought my property out in a rural area, 40 miles from work, diesel was 1.029. Now it is 2.7 times higher at 2.799. Am I thinking of selling out and moving closer? Heck no... just amunition to make Cindy see the light and put her stamp of approval on the Harly Sportster! :twisted:

    I agree Tom, not about the motorcycle, but like you I wonder why the democrats aren't going after Big Oil?
