$2.61??? Wow. You are being ripped off, likely by extra taxes imposed by your great legislators.

I was listening to the Cards-Padres game on XM radio last night, fed by the local San Diego station. I heard an ad urging people to vote against another massive oil tax. I don't need to tell you that you live in a screwed up state in terms of prevailing attitudes and taxes. You have my sympathy.

    $2.51 pg @ Upland, CA

I needed every drop of it coming home on Friday. It was a minimum day, so school was over at 12:30...but I didn't get home until 5:30! The state closed the 15/south @ Devore, which cut me off and turned the Cajon Pass (22 miles long) into a parking lot. Traffic was backed up on the 215 from the I-10 to Nevada 200 miles away and that's the ONLY way into and out of SoCal from the High Desert on that end of the state. All I could do was turn up the stereo and wait. I hope the cars around me liked AC/DC, because I forced them to listen to Thunderstruck, Hells Bells and Shoot to Thrill for over three hours...

That construction is scheduled for three straight weekends so I'll miss next Friday by being in South Bend, but the Friday after that will catch me...

Yesterday, I traveled to Indianapolis from Ft. Wayne along I-69. In the morning a few stations along the way were $1.99. In the afternoon returning home they were up to $2.18.

Yeah, but don't forget about all those obscene profits Exxon continued to make last quarter, despite the lower gas prices.

Exxon is getting ready to post an even larger profit. At a time when prices are falling. Who knew that could happen. :)
