My brother in law who in essence is my brother as I’ve known him since I’ve been 12 years old retired 3 years ago invited my wife and I to attend his retirement from the Coral Gables police dept. The retirement party touched your heart but the best was when we had a police escort out of the city limits with full honors. At top speed with motorcycle escorts stopping each and every red light, sirens blaring as police cars escorted us through the maze of the city. Tears were flowing as the man I’ve always admired went through all sorts of emotions in his last farewell and thanks for his service.... Unspoken hero’s are the best of us.....
What a coincidence... My bro-in-law is also a long time policeman. Havent known him as long, but I consider him one of my best friends... He is technically retired but is staying on a few more years because they match his salary into a retirement fund that he can cash when he finally hits the door.
