The ratings for this WS are quite poor but FOX is doing its hardest not to let this WS be a total bust

That was a great game by Cole last night and the bats came through when needed. Now it's win 1 out of 2 at home, with Verlander going on Tues. Verlander has been plagued by bad first innings, I don't know what's up with that, after that he usually settles down and is his usual dominant self. It's odd that his history though is not good in the WS, 0-5, but in all other playoff games he's the JV we know.

Naturally I'd like to see JV get the win and close them out, it will be tough though because Strasburg is pitching very well now and is Verlanders equal on the mound.

Watching last night's plate umpire struggle to make consistent calls made me long for the day when we have a computer driven strike zone. I know it's being tried out in the minors, I haven't heard much about it though after it's initial launch, so I don't know if it's being successful or an abject failure to the point they stopped using it and sent it back to the developers for a reboot.

I see that the chicks who flashed Gerrit Cole last night have been given a lifetime ban from MLB. I couldn't really tell much from Bobda's clip but they are pretty hot looking chicks who just happen to have a Digital Magazine that they were promoting, they also said that they were promoting breast cancer awareness!

No team in history has lost all three games at home and won the World Series. That's what the Nats face in the final game(s) at Minute Maid Park.

BTW we have more than the usual rooting interest in the Astros winning the World Series. Local Furniture Store Owner has a deal where if you spend 3000$ or more and the Astros win he'll refund you the cost of the furniture. My sister and her husband redid their Living Room and get their money back if the Astros win tonight or Wed!

But don't worry about Mattress Mack, he's got a bunch of bets out there and according to what I read he could win upwards of 22M if the Astros win it all.

Another interesting tidbit...2013 was the last time a WS was clinched at home...hope to break that streak.

If there is a game 7, Nat's Ace Max Scherzer is ready to take the mound. I hope it doesn't get to game 7.

Is Strasburg throwing tonight for the Nats?

Yes Strasburg going tonight. Verlander is going to have to come out firing on all cylinders to match Strasburg and Astros bats have to be ready. Strasburg is a load.

JV gives up 2 bombs and he's done.

Astros had 2 on and 1 out with Altuve and he just has a terrible at bat. That hurt

Game 7's are usually the greatest events in sports. Blues made it fun this year.

What a comeback, again, by the Nats. Hats off to them. They took 3.5 great pitchers and a shell of a bullpen, with their lineup of 3.5 hitters and willed themselves to a World Series title. Amazing!

I never thought we'd lose all 4 home games, esp after taking 3 out of 3 in Washington. Another night of leaving double digit men on base. But kudo's to the Nat's, it was just their time.
