Your not agreeing with it. Just Stop. Your making a point about yourself. Has nothing to do with your current stance.

Don't know how else to put it AJ. Everyone that's not ultra conservative is cut in the same rigid mold. I am more moderate about some things than you might believe. I think it's been an odd development over the past 20 years.... probably a view promoted by Fox News that if you're not totally right on everything then you just ain't right.
Defunding police is a bad idea.... and I'm sure you can find many democrats who feel the same.
Joe Biden tonight in an hour long town hall said this about defunding police and I'm sure Fox News doesn't report it because they want to keep their conservative subjects like AJ completely in a brain freeze:
"How can we be sure that we don't over legislate police officers so that they can do their job to protect the law-abiding citizens who live in these high crime neighborhoods and yet train officers to police with compassion?" asked Dannie Evans, a pastor and member of the Wisconsin Racial Disparity Task Force.
"By number one, not defunding the police," replied Biden.
"We have to put more money in police work so we have legitimate community policing.

I'm sure quite a few conservative media type's heads exploded over that one......

Yeah, we heard the left's stance on that since May. Stop with the BS.

"The Left"..... "The Right"...... that's our immense problem in America today.

It's not black and white..... all or none. If you were a union negotiator your members would be out on strike indefinitely if they were depending on you to negotiate a settlement.

I looked.... Fox News indeed said nothing about Biden's statement last night that I posted above about not defunding the police......probably so they could continue the inflammatory narrative for their dwindling alt right audience.

"I think it stinks when unarmed black men are murdered by police"
But when an unarmed women is shot to death by the Capitol Police, it's no problem for you.

Seriously Gipper? The police were being violently attacked by a huge mob and the intruders were breaking in to the Capitol chamber with intent to do harm and you would hold that security person responsible? I would expect no less if I was stupid and crazed enough to invade and threaten the U.S. government in the same manner. If it was my daughter I would be intensely pissed off at Trump and with any group that she was with.

I'm not sure if they are ambivalent about his actions..... or protecting him and his family from retribution. I am pretty damn certain he would never be in any official trouble over his action due to the circumstances of the out of control violence infused mob actively seeking out lawmakers and their physical beatings of Capitol policemen. Not many outside that 1/3 fringe group in the Republican party will side with her.

The entire event raises a lot of questions about the security of our nation's government. It may have been a good thing it came to light before a foreign terrorist group or a fully armed domestic group decided to see what type of tragedy they could bring down on our Congress. Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré has been actively studying the situation and a 9/11 style commission may be formed to further examine the security breach..... which to me is really quite surprising that it was allowed to happen. Of course the National Guard was slow to be called in and that's another story.

So, one of the individuals that was at the "violent insurrection" was John Sullivan who is an Antifa and Black Lives Matter activist. He was actually paid $35,000 by both NBC and CNN. Did they agree to pay him before the "riot?" If the networks knew to have an imbedded video taker there, how come security was severely lacking? How many other non Trump backing protesters were there? Did Sullivan just take videos or was he doing more. He was arrested for "participating" in the riot. Many not suffering from chronic TDS want to know.
Meanwhile the best way to bring our country together is to fence off the government from "the people."
THIS RAISES SERIOUS RED FLAGS: CNN and NBC Paid Black Lives Matter Leader John Sullivan $35,000 a Piece for His US Capitol Riot Footage

I told my son on Jan 3rd that this coming Wed. the 6th should be very interesting and newsworthy.... because Trump was saying it was going to be "wild".
Certainly no secret to anyone that he and his followers planned some real **** going down on that day.
I've learned when Trump says something that some people feel is too outrageous to be true that you better hold on to your hats because he really means it......

Regarding TDS..... lots and lots more people have a hate Trump syndrome and it will devastate the Republican party in future elections:

GOP chaos -- and toxic Trump -- are a big boon to Democrats (opinion) - CNN

"You don't need to be a professional pollster to understand that Republicans are in trouble among the suburban swing voters who simply loathe Trump. Poll after poll shows this: While the GOP may continue to run up the score in crimson-red states, Democrats will be increasingly competitive in other states with educated, purplish areas, like Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and now Georgia."

Biden continues to remind us about how important it is to wear masks for the safety of others. Meanwhile it’s reported that over 100 border crashes who tested positive for COVID have been allowed to scatter throughout the country. You can’t legally enter the US unless you’ve tested negative.
Can’t help but remember all that anguish about Trump “separating families.” Government estimates are that over 100,000 unescorted minors will enter the US this year. Isn’t that facilitating the separation of families? MS 13 must be thrilled with the new crop of potential recruits.

There is talk now of a credible security concern for the Capitol from extremists. I saw where Texas Republican, Michael McCauley, commented on it and said that Trump needs to tell his followers to stand down. Now I'm not convinced that Trump is behind this and I'm not really convinced that anything he's said recently would "incite" his more extreme followers to attempt another attack on the Capitol. He did condemn the previous attack though although Democrats and the Media claim his rhetoric fired them up to do what they did.

But I would like to see him, if he's going to be out there to be making statements telling people that we need to respect the rule of law and if you protest make it peaceful.

The top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee said Wednesday that Donald Trump has a duty to call off his supporters in light of a potential threat against the US Capitol on Thursday -- less than two months after the January 6 Capitol insurrection incited by the former President.

"I think President Trump has a responsibility to tell them to stand down -- this threat is credible, it's real," Rep. Michael McCaul told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead" when asked whether Trump should be more forcefully dismiss the notion he could still be inaugurated on March 4.
"It's a right-wing militia group that believes that the original -- because the original inaugural day was March 4 until the 20th Amendment passed, they think this is the true inauguration day and that President Trump should be inaugurated tomorrow. And that is the threat we face right now," the Texas Republican continued.

Insurrection... hmmm... didn't the FBI just report that no weapons were seized from anyone on Jan 6?
That's a damned brave group if they thought they were going to take over by yelling and beating on doors...

That's true, but it was still a shocking and disturbing event.
