  Juggernauts all! I have no doubt that Ole Miss would lay waste to good ole PSU in Happy Valley as would anybody else on your schedule in spite of the fact that just one of them has a winning record....
 ....I never professed to be an expert, but I do know that beating the cupcakes on your schedule is better than losing to them and further, when you do lose to one of your cupcakes, it's not good form to throw stones as it can look rather foolish.....
18 wins against: Weber State La Tech Charleston Southern Texas A&M Fresno State Central Florida UAB Northern Illinois Memphis Samford Florida Western Illinois La-Monroe Auburn x2 Appalachian State North Texas Miss State Those same teams have been blown out by: Florida x3 Alabama Texas Oregon State Aside from Ole Miss over Florida, there isn't a quality win in those 18 and your opponents have been smoked a few times.
The real question is this, Who wins the Charleston Southern - Western Illinois match-up? I did learn something out of this.....I had never heard of Western Illinois before today. Now, not only have I heard of them, I also learned that they play football!
I know we all poke a lot at the other guys schedule and all, but schedules aside what PSU did to Wisc at their place and what Fla did to LSU at home are both significant wins and show me that both teams are excellent and deserving of their rankings. Terry
I am indeed - as well as several generations of in-law alums to go with it....and all of them, to a person, are no doubt greatly relieved that they did not have to face the daunting prospect of tangling with the vaunted Ole Miss Rebels in Happy Valley during their run to the championship!  They are looking for a whole lot of payback in back-to-back games with the Stripeheads and my Buckeyes.....if we don't get our offense back in synch I fear massive doses of crow coming my way......
Wisconsin proved how down they were by losing to Michigan and then getting blown out by PSU. That said....PSU has won all of their games and I haven't said they should be ranked behind Florida but I question mightily their ability to beat Ohio State in Columbus.
We know Wisky is at least good enough to travel cross country and beat a decent - not great but solid - Fresno team in their own house and we know that up until we beat them they had the nation's second longest home win streak so we know a visit to Madison is no picnic. I saw Wisky play us tough and watched the entirety of the PSU game.....based upon what I saw and to do that in Camp Randall, I would suggest that the PSU blow out was more a reflection of how good this PSU squad can execute than a poor reflection on Wisky. I know this is hard to believe but there is some good football played in places other than the southeast.....
I would rather see that written as: Nobody in the southeast is giving anyone a heartache about this except for one... and he now lives in Detroit.
Well Tom...hard to refute 17-27. Those are pretty putrid stats for your opponents at this point in the season. Never said PSU can't play football.....but who would know it?
Hey how about these apples. What if Texas wins out and OU wins out, and Bama loses on the road to LSU, but beats UF in the SECCG, and Notre Dame takes out USC and PSU loses it's final game of the season to MSU. That would seem to favor a Texas/OU rematch in the Championship game...whoooooooooooooa Nellie there'd be some howling with that matchup.
Nothing is current yet as far as the BCS is concerned... This was a projection based upon computer strength of each team. If you took time to analize before posting a message, you would see that both mentioned teams, LSU and Oklahoma, are shown in both columns projecting their strength as a undefeated team and as a one loss team.
I guess I don't understand a current projection of LSU as an undefeated team when that is an impossibility instead of an improbability. I have to explain that I don't trust the accuracy of any BCS projection that doesn't factor in the huge wins garnered by some teams last weekend like Texas over OU, OkSt over Missouri and Florida over LSU.
