I seem to remember a little bit of controversy about Alabama scoring against Michigan when the game was all but over.

You guys won big, you dominated us if somehow we'd have scored on the last second play nothing really would have changed. I wouldn't have been chest thumping how we played you.

Were you mad that we went with the onside kick?

Yes , Saban and Harbaugh had a history. Saban and Kelly don't as far as I know. Never mind, I just don't remember anyone doing that before. No big deal.

This game should be a very competitive game, both teams have elite skill players.

I actually believe we played well enough tonight to beat any team in the country not named Alabama, Clemson or Ohio State, with players not named Mac, Najee, Devonta, or Trevor (No individual OSU players on that level IMO). We played almost penalty free. Our O-line, which I don't believe is as good as touted, blocked as well as they could vs. Alabama's front 7. Williams ran as hard as he could. Our D tried as hard as they could to tackle Harris. Like Terry said, the difference was their QB and WRs, just like it was vs. Clemson. We're bigger and stronger than we've been in the past. We also are faster but not fast enough in the secondary to keep up with their (or Clemson's) incredible speed at WR.

I give Kelly a lot of credit. He's brought us to where we consistently are one of the top programs in the country, a far cry from where we were before he came on board. Unfortunately, he won't/can't produce a national championship. It's just not in his DNA. If we're lucky enough in the future to hire another Parseghian or Holtz, we may break through that wall, but until then............

I didn't realize how many tight ends Notre Dame used.

Travis Lawrence is really good running the ball, no Lamar Jackson, but he has deceptive speed.

    Clemson draws first blood.

It will be interesting to see if the Ohio State back who ran for 300 yds vs a good defense in the Big 10 Championship game can be as effective tonight. It would take a lot of pressure off Fields.

Didn’t realize Sermon was so fast.

Wonder if Clemson not having their OC tonight will have a big impact on this game.

Just a big talent differential. ND played as good as it could; simply not in Bama's league.

If Lawrence wasn't a 3 year starter it certainly would, he's so experienced I think it will be ok

Yep. His two worst games were against NW and Indiana. Looks much more confident tonight.

OSU does not look like an 11th ranked team.

Does he do their play calling? I would.think losing the play caller could be a.big factor

No doubt you always want the whole staff, but if Clemson loses tonight I think it will be because of the Buckeyes play, not Elliot being home.

Buckeyes have a lot of motivation for this game. And it is showing.

Terry, I agree but, if it's only one game, I would rather lose my Head Coach than my play caller unless they are the same person.
