    Yogi grew up in the St. Louis area with other Italian players like Joe Garagiola. It's tempting to say that someone should have recognized his talent and signed him cheap, but the truth is, he was only listed at 5'7" and I don't think he was even that big. Mickey Mantle used to joke that when they made the movie of those days, the part of Yogi should be played by Danny DeVito...
