While I know that the thought of another Big Team team in the BCS Championship game, Mo, is causing you to think of engaging in civil insurrection, don't do anything drastic just yet. Iowa is starting to play well and catch the Lions at home. That game may be a banana peel for PSU.
After watching Texas play week after week against so really tough teams, it would almost be fitting that they caught a break by getting PSU in the Championship game.
A tough, tough loss....after taking the lead at 6-3 and watching PSU miss a long FG with about 10mins to go in the 4th, moving the ball past mid-field, we were in control of the ballgame with a 3rd and short. Likely scenario, go up 9-3 make the Nits drive the length of the field in an effort to win. I like our chances in that one.....late mistakes will kill you every time. Great, great game by the Nits......shutting down an outstanding back and playing error-free football in that environment. I don't see many teams in the country going in that place Saturday nite and playing like that - shutting Beanie down, no turnovers, no penalties. You're not going to lose many ballgames when your kids play with that kind of poise and discipline.....kudos to the Nits. Looks to me like the Nits and the Horns for the title......Go Nits! I agree with Gip, after the gauntlet that Texas has had to face this season, I think it only proper that they get the break in the title game that PSU would provide..... :wink:
