Thanks for that Bob. I guess we have just been numbed in recent years by the offensive genius of Muschamp ( did Va. blank S.C.? of course they did... ) and the massive beat downs under McElwain that happened all too often in the big games..... one of which vs. Michigan that thankfully was almost wiped out of my memory bank by yesterday's Peach Bowl. It does seem like we are on to something with Mullen at the helm.
Well we did win the NC in both 2006 and 2008, and we were very good in 2009, but we have hardly been a factor since then until this year.
"According to the projections, Florida manages just 19 points as Michigan's defense records four sacks and forces at least two turnovers. That helps the Wolverines cover in 55 percent of simulations despite the NFL draft defections. The Under (50.5) is also a strong value, as it hits nearly 60 percent of the time" That's why they call it gambling and not winning.....
Truly was unaware of these stats for Florida: "The triumph over Michigan moved the program's record to 3-1 over its past four bowl games and 9-3 over its last 12 postseason appearances." Wow.... that surprises me a little bit.
We've been locked in to such mediocrity since Meyer left Corey that I had not considered the overall bowl record... which obviously is the one big positive over that period of time.
