I'll be 72 in May but look younger than AJ. Been married 46 years come April, we have 5 kids and 16 grandchildren, 8 of then being bonus grandchildren and three of those great grandchildren. Bonus being a term I learned from someone else that helps to describe grandchildren that become grandchildren through divorces and remarriages. We love them all the same. I graduated from the University of Florida in 1964 after starting there in 1955. I would say I was interrupted by a tour in the service, which was partially true. But I was in a program at the time called the 6 month program where I was active for 6 months then in the active reserve for the rest of my 6 year enlistment. The real reason it took me so long was that while I was on my parents nickel I played my way out. It was after going to work and going to school at night that I figured out that I needed to get it over with so I went back after 4 yrs and graduated. I married with a year to go and she had two kids, that I was able to later adopt, so I finished with children. I had an almost 30 year career with an electric utility and left in my mid 50's during a downsizing. Fortunately they offered an early retirement which I jumped on. Since I had gotten a dual Masters degree, MBA and MIE, from a program at the University of Miami that my company had put me through I turned to teaching math after the corporate world. I had to go back to school again to get graduate level math courses but it was worth it. I taught Math at a Community College in Florida and retired a 2nd time in May 2007 and we moved to Franklin NC. this semester I have gone back to the local Community College where I tutor and teach one Math course. So far I am loving it as I thought I would. I actually went to the CC to volunteer to tutor and did volunteer for about a month and a half last semester and they hired me for this semester. So I am truly getting paid for something I would have done for free. And by the way AJ, I know full well what it is like to be married to a redhead. This is already to long so I'll sign off.
Gator Bill, Sounds like a wonderful life, you don't by any chance do any collecting? If so let me know and maybe we can meet up.
