re: Woody not buying gas in Michigan

That's true according to the book, Woody Hayes and the 100 Yard War

    :D :D
I haven't read it in a long time, but I remember that he had his assistant coaches push his car over the state line to avoid spending money in that state...

    Jim,

Woody was quite a character, dearly loved by most fans and his players. Too bad he did not retire prior to his actions in the Clemson game.

Thanks BT, given what has taken place since 2001, I think I know how this is going to turn out:

My fear of what the battle between Carlos Hyde vs our defense will look like:

    Bobda,

The Wolverines have come to play! Good first half for both clubs.

Wow, quite the 1st half. Both offenses moving up and down the field, fights, a Buckeye double bird to the Wolvie faithful.

Devin the good returned and Hyde has been a beast.

Lot of scarlet in the crowd. Looks like 30-40% of the crowd are Buckeyes.

These rivalry games never seem to turn out the way one would suspect. Michigan played a great game and came back to tie the score several times.

I think Hoke made the right decision. Go for the win. I could see a terrible letdown for the Buckeyes prior to the two point conversion attempt, with just seconds remaining.

We were fortunate to win his game and preserve our winning streak.

Garder played one heck of a game, and it was obvious he was hurting.

Braxton used his legs today, and Carlos was ruthless with 225 yds rushing.

A great game today by both teams.

    Congrats Don and BT!

Certainly one of the exciting M-OSU games I can recall. I have no issue with Hoke's call. Without our regular FG kicker and our inability to stop your offense all day, the advantage was all Buckeyes if the game went into OT. Thought his decision to roll the dice for everything was the right call.

Hope you roll Sparty next week.

Bobda, as anticipated an extraordinary effort by the maize and blue. Gardner was a gladiator continually gutting it out making plays while clearly injured. What a courageous effort. My hats off to him and his teammates. Agreed re: Hoke's decision, but it still takes a sack the size of the UP...

Will be interesting to see if Hall's ill-advised but greatly appreciated two-fisted salute to the big house will cost him time next week.....

My apologies, Stu. I usually think of you as a Boilermaker and temporarily forgot about your dual citizenship when typing out my annual congratulatory note to the Buckeye contingent on SB.

Dealing with this Buckeye domination since 2001 is causing the onset of early dementia.

No apology necessary. Your guys did you proud, IMO. I actually told crazy John when we kicked off the last time that if you managed to score you should go for two...for the reasons you expressed. I thought the ejections were a bit one sided, though deserved. Hall ought to sit the MSU game for flipping off the crowd.
