Daryl Morey the Houston Rockets GM made a tweet in support of the people of Hong Kong....

At the time I'm sure he thought it was a good thing. He's now had to delete it, his owner has come out and made it clear the Rockets love China and don't want to get into political discussions, just play basketball.

It's blown up now to the point that China has cancelled the NBA TV contract and won't be showing NBA games. The NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, has been trying to dance around this issue and take both sides. He's in favor of the players being involved in social issues, as long as they don't offend China and hurt the revenue stream.

Silver reacts as Chinese TV cancels NBA games

Those two have been skewering the evils of society for some time and it appears even the Chinese are out of their depths trying to compete with them. So, they just scrubbed South Park from the Chinese internet. I stand for Hong Kong as well. F the Chinese.

Everyone has been wrapped around the axle about the Russians... but if you want to worry about a foreign entity that is feverishly working toward world domination, then look to China.
And of course our own companies (and Pro Sports) are helping them in the name of $$$.

I guess LeBron’s quest for social justice stops at the point when the Chinese threaten to shut off their money spigot to the NBA:
