Well he did say during his campaign that he would shut down Gitmo in 90 days and said he would get the troops out of Iraq. I forget his timeline there but I'm thinking it was 6 months.
His proposed schedule seems pretty true to his vows in late Feb. '09. I would think after assuming office that Jan. and meeting with military brass that things could have changed a little because he was privy to more info than during the campaign. http://www.antiwar.com/porter/?articleid=14461
So you and Obama are pretty similar in that both of you criticize without all the needed information.
"90,000 U.S. troops will have come home since Obama took office." Two points about this: 50,000 troops are bring retained in Iraq with no timetable for withdrawal. None of thios would have happened without the troop surge that GWB pushed through against almost unanimous opposition from the Democrats, including Obama. Remember, even Obama's boss Harry Reid declared the war lost prior to the surge. Just a little context.
