Well it must have escaped you then Dave. Otherwise you'd stop harping on a 2% difference in the popular vote... Ah the blue parts of Texas. Look closely and you'll see hispanic majorities in most of those areas. Dallas has been majority Hispanic for a decade. Not sure about Houston but I'd expect the same. Austin is our version of Berkley. I'll let Terry explain the "Keep Austin weird" signs...
You wanna know why there are so many people who disagree with the inauguration ceremony today? It's because there are so many people who don't come close to the viewpoints of the guy getting sworn in who did... in fact... not win the election by a majority of voters... In fact here are the swing states popular vote results that won Trump the election with their large number of electoral votes going his way: Florida - Trump won by 113,000 votes Michigan - won by 11,000 Wisconsin - won by 23,000 Pa. - won by 44,000 That leaves a whole lot of voters angry and with concerns about the direction this country may head in that so differs with their own views. I don't see the "you're fired" guy caring two shits about what the other significantly large group of voters think.
Dave take a look at the House and Senate. The quiet thoughtful folks in this country couldn't give a rats ass what the assholes that are rioting in the street want in government. They can live in states where the Pelosis and deBlasios win elections but the rest of the country doesn't buy their ****. This is the 5th time a President who didn't win the popular vote won the election. It's the way our government works.
