"The last game we were really healthy was the [Oct. 6] Florida game," defensive end Kirston Pittman said of his team's defense." Should I start to worry? Maybe yes according to CFN: "Ohio State is good, but it hasn't beaten anyone really, really good. Wisconsin was battered and bruised, but it took the Buckeyes into the fourth quarter in Columbus. Michigan wasn't Michigan with Chad Henne and Mike Hart half of what they were against Florida in the Capital One Bowl. The Penn State win was nice, but whatever. There wasn't that Texas-like non-conference win like 2006. LSU was one of the most injured teams in America over the second half of the season. Several players gutted it out, but they weren't nearly the same as they were at the beginning of the year when LSU looked like an unstoppable machine on both sides of the ball. With Glenn Dorsey's knee as good as it's been since early October, QB Matt Flynn's shoulder completely healed, and others, like LB Darry Beckwith, back to normal, I'm expecting the Tigers to be (cue Dennis Green) who we thought they were. The Buckeyes are every bit as athletic as LSU, every bit as fast, and has enough talent on both sides of the ball to win this game. The only scenario that would shock me is an Ohio State blowout, but if by late Tuesday night the final score reads Ohio State 24, LSU 20, I won't bat an eye. Even so, I'm going chalk and taking LSU to pull away late. When 100%, LSU is the best team in America. LSU is close to 100%. LSU 31 ... Ohio State 20" Yikes.....
*yawn* <t>by the same token, who has LSU beaten?<br/> <br/> VTech? The team just beaten by Big12 3rd place finisher Kansas. Beaten by BC at home<br/> <br/> Tulane? Middle Tennessee State? La Tech??<br/> <br/> Sheet... LSU is the only team to make Florida's defense look good.<br/> <br/> Wake me up when they kick this POS title game off.</t>
I repeat the question from another post....would LSU blow out USC? Would LSU even be favored over USC? Can Corey make this all about Florida also? By the way....the SEC is 6-2 in Bowls and favored to go 7-2. Arkansas...the team most in disarray was the only big loss out of nine and Florida lost to what many hail around these parts as one of Lloyd Carr's "greatest wins".....I'll take that if you gotta lose to Michigan.... ....and......LSU won the SEC.....not bad.
Hey Corey, since the game is a POS you probably should find something else to do tonight?  MCG, let's don't get so carried away here, it's just a football game. As far as who's favored let's don't forget the Gators were favored by more points than LSU and look what happened to us.
Gentlemen, The media always seems to find a need to shock and make a lot to do over nothing. I try to not let things that are written about my Buckeyes upset me. The game will be decided on the field this evening. I like our chances, but if we come up on the short end, it will not be the end of the world. I am proud to be a Buckeye and always will be. Don
Don, that is exactly what I would have expected from you and hits the nail on the head. All this sensationalism about must win, embarrassment yada yada yada is just talk. I think many fans take this stuff much to seriously and don't realize that the end of the day one team is going to win and one team is going to lose, the players on the two teams live with that reality much better than many fans I think!
Amen Bill! There are times when I think it would be nice to ignore the internet so I would not be deluged with what is represented by self-serving analysts as what "everyone is thinking".
more lolz <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> no, despite your best efforts..this subject isn't about them. Interesting strategy though, I tell you that the same theory that could be applied to the SEC Champ and your strategic approach is to turn the subject back to 'Gators'.<br/> <br/> LOLZ<br/> <br/> Bill,<br/> <br/> Everyone loves a trainwreck</r>
