No question this young man has a pretty bright future ahead for him.

I think the Huskies were really tested by our defense today.

Buckeyes were a different ball club in the second half. Hopefully this will instill more confidence in a young team and a nice road win.

Great win for Ohio State today.

Maybe the Bucks will yet be a huge factor in the Big Ten this year.

That was a very good win for these kids on any number of levels.....faced adversity in a very hostile, loud road environment and played very, very good football in the 2nd half and won convincingly.

The O-line played light years better this week - the running game was strong and the pass pro solid. Boeckman saw very little if any real pressure all day, maintained his poise in the face of the crowd and the running backs looked good. The long TD pass to Robiskie early in the 2nd half was an audible....good to see from such a young QB in that environment. I think these kids grew up alot in Seattle....all told, a good outing for the offense.

Defensively they hung in there and seemed to control the line of scrimmage all day and made big plays when they need them. The Locker kid is a beast....reminds me ALOT of Vince Young with a much better delivery. Big, strong and fast. The kid took a pounding but kept coming....he's going to be special.

All in, couldn't have been much better.....I think they might just be able to compete this year.

Believe it TOK, the kid is a real specimen and he's only a freshman! Shook off D-lineman, outran linebackers and ran over safeties.....he is a beast and still a baby. Has a gun for an arm but as with many youngsters, his best pitch is still the fast ball and believes he can put in anywhere....3 or 4 picks later he's learning that perhaps he can't....watch for this kid.

    hahaha

<t>its rare that you will see me laugh at a Pac10 team going down, but I have to in the case of Washington.

Why? Because I love how Ty is everyone's upset special...Ty has turned the corner... And just like when ND had Brady, Ty had the best player on the field (Yes, I like Locker over the Animal...but its close Buckeye fans)..

And once again, his team goes down... flashes of hope, and then they fade...no heart... And once they fade, no one wants to talk about the 'upset special' anymore.

It must be the chocolate milk. I wonder if Ty will consider changing to strawberry or are all staff changes still off the table?

Great win Buckeyes.</t>

Ty did make one important change when he moved to Washington, he ditched his longtime OCoord Wild Bill Dietrich who was just horrible at ND. Wild Bill has yet to find employment in college football and the last I heard he was an unpaid assist coach in the CFL.

I do believe that with the resources available to UW and their strong desire to win, that TW can by the 5th year have the team over .500. But that's about it, his success at Stanford was pretty much .500. That one Rose Bowl season is pretty much how his reputation was built. Even Bob Davie has a winning record vs Ty.

Inspite of the 2-0 start I think UW will not finish above .500 this year.

They will go as far as the stud frosh can carry them.....they have some real youth in the secondary as well - e.g. the true frosh corners that got toasted in our game, but I say they have better than even odds of being over .500. They played us very, very tough in the first half but as Corey did point out they folded like a cheap suit after we jumped on them icoming out of the locker room in the second half. The expected rally in front of the home crowd never materialized.....it didn't help that the young QB kept throwing it to the wrong guys....- but I like that kid. He is going to be something special.....
