I'd say I'd be shocked if Tressel wouldn't trounce VR in a primary race for Ohio governor, but nothing these days shocks me.

Stu, I agree. He's not a young man, gonna be 74 when his Lt Gov term ends. I'm sure VR is gonna run an aggressive, well funded and energetic campaign. By all accounts Coach is in excellent physical condition but I don't know if that is something that he wants to put himself and his wife through at this point in his life. I sure wouldn't.....

I am anxious as well BuckeyeT, no way will be able to duplicate last season, but certainly should provide some good football. Go Bucks!

Is Kienholz really a challenge for the starter over Sayin? I only remember his performance in that Cotton Bowl.

Yep, that was dismal. Hopefully he's gotten better than that in his 3rd year in the program. Actually took first team snaps in the spring game and looked pretty good so I'm hopeful if not push Sayin for the top job, he'll be a solid #2. He's very athletic and bigger and stronger, adds more of a run threat than Sayin so I wouldn't be surprised if Day doesn't have a package for him in short yardage or goal line situations. My guess is that 80% of what we're hearing is just Day doesn't want Sayin to get too complacent and 20% legit competition if Sayin doesn't keep his foot on the gas

Huh....our friend Nick (where's he been?) went to the spring game and said Sayin was much better than Kleinholz. I don't pay much attention to the spring game so I can't really opine.

Sayin did look good....I like this team and I think they'll go as far as the QB spot can take them. Day has expressed some concerns about the depth in the interior of the DL, but pretty solid everywhere else. Back 7 on defense very good, O-line could be a strength of this team and great skill on the outside. When in doubt, throw it to #4. QB shouldn't have to do more than they are capable, just stay away from big mistakes and not f%#$ it up

Looks like defensive tackle, Houston suffered a lower leg injured in first day of practice. Not a great way to start the first day of of fall camp!

Peoples who was the backup will start for sure. Two incoming backs look promising. Time will tell.:)
