Sitting has become, kneeling, kneeling with right fist up, standing with black gloved fist up, etc. I do wonder how long this will go on, I mean our social problems won't be changed over some protests of any kind by athletes. So will those guys adopt their pose as the permanent way they go through the Anthem, or will they change and say they made their point. I wonder what the economic impact on these guys is going to be, I mean I wouldn't hire anybody who won't stand for the Anthem to promote my product or service. Have any college athletes sat, kneeled, held up fist as a silent protest yet?
One NFL player lost an endorsement. Don't recall the name. I wonder who's going to decide if and when the issues leading to the protests have been corrected. This could go on forever.
I'm just a middle aged white guy so my thoughts really don't count anymore in our country unless you are looking for a genre to blame... The NFL lost its luster years ago during the strike and has become so political and correct in its media driven world that it reminds me of retail stores marketing Christmas in late September. There is nothing real anymore it's all a generated silicone boob job that swings back and forth but has no texture... I am actually surprised at times with its continued growth as I keep hearing how more folks ignore it in favor of the college game. And if a 2nd string QB wants to make noise by disrespecting the country it's his right paid with the blood of those who never had his chance.
It was Denver Brandon Marshall and he lost 2 endorsements. The first was the Air Academy Credit Union (associated with the AF academy) and the second was Century Link whose name is on the Bronco's stadium.
