Trouble is on the way. The Asterisks open in Anaheim and that stadium is filling up with Dodger fans who want to give them a proper greeting. Pentone 294 has made it their first game by purchasing thousands of seats. This is getting ugly...

Whoa! Dusty’s Dugout Dice. They’ll have to change the names. LOL!

Reportedly Dusty Baker signed a 1 year deal to be the Astros manager. 1 year deal? I've never heard of anything like that. It's like he's the interim manager. I'm just not very confident that he's a good fit for the Astros. Also I wonder who is going to be the GM? I've read a few tidbits that indicate that Crane is going to hire somebody who works for MLB.

Astros get a new GM, a analytics guru from the Ray's, does anyone come up now who isn't a math / stats geek.

Why do the Dodgers need Mookie Betts?

Looks like the Dodgers are getting Mookie Betts (who is 27) and David Price. I hear rumors that they are giving up Verdugo and Pederson. There's a 3rd team involved that hasn't been named as of yet.

Betts is a hell of a ball player. Hopefully for the Dodgers Price is just passing through because he is useless in big games, especially against the Yankees. Don't even put him on your playoff roster.

    What a nightmare...
Verdugo is a better player than Mookie Whats-his-name and he's only 23. Price was a salary dump who might not be able to win a starting job here and Mookie is a one year rental. This ruins everything...
Joc Peterson was traded to the Angels for a no-name infielder who we can't use and Kenta Maeda went to Minnesota, which makes some sense. There was serious doubt that he could stay in the starting rotation here. This sucks...

With all these expert facts and analysis, I'd like to congratulate the 2020 NL Champions St. Louis Cardinals. On a serious note, I put a 100 on them to win the NL at 8-1....if that happens, my bet auto rolls into them winning the WS at 20-1
