These are the people who elected a total nincompoop like Obama to the WH. So now they carry signs featuring Che Guevara like he was Jesus and not the mass murdering common criminal that he was. And they hold up North Korea as the ideal.....

Rod Serling must have written the script for our current situation....

You know....what I think people on the "Occupy" front are pissed about.....and many others who openly or secretly harbor the same thoughts is the fact that while the rest of us are left holding the bag.....the bag with no money in it.....the bag with no home equity in it......the bag with lower paying jobs in it......there are still those on Wall Street and at the top of the corporate pyramid who are getting rewarded handsomely for continuing to manipulate money.

Everybody else paid and is still paying a huge price....a devastating price for the idiocy and greed that brought us to these financial depths but those aforementioned at the top of the chain.

Hey maybe those protesting will someday be pissed at the public employees that are living large on inflated pensions that are breaking the budgets of states and other governmental units. No wait, that won't happen, many of the protesters are SEIU funded and some are actually government tit suckers.

Hell, sounds easy.....why don't they just do it instead of bitch and moan about it? What's to stop them? This is America. Anybody can seek their own fortune in any field they choose. I would encourage all the "Occupy" crowd to give it a shot and see how it works our for them....best of luck. There are no barriers to entry....the only requirements, skills, brains, energy, desire to succeed and an insane work ethic. Oh.....never mind. I understand now.....

Occupy Oakland... occupied and smashed by the real workers and labor union members...The Oakland Police Department.

The protesters seem angry that people who actually work for a living don't share their left-wing views...

OAKLAND – Protesters inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement plan to rally again in downtown Oakland at 6 p.m. tonight, with some saying they will try to retake the encampment outside City Hall that police dismantled early Tuesday.

Several hours after the removal of the camp – which saw mass arrests but was largely peaceful – a downtown march turned into a protracted street confrontation between protesters and police officers, who set off tear gas and used shotguns to fire projectiles designed to inflict pain but not kill.

Police said they had to protect themselves from protesters who hurled rocks, bottles and paint, and ignored orders to disperse.

. . . Countering that message was Occupy Oakland protester Casey Jones, 28, who wore a T-shirt reading “thrash and burn,” and skateboarded up and down Broadway yelling, “Bring it on!”

“I’m all about the riot – we need to be violent,” he said. “We need more numbers. We’ll just keep marching on.”

He said anyone who passively resisted police efforts to remove them was “a pussy.”

“We did the whole peaceful thing,” he said, “and all we did was sit in the park and make it smell bad. We got nothing. Now I’m into organized chaos.”

    :p
Innocent protesters are now being hustled and bulldozed by bums and local street gangsters who're going through OWS encampments like Attila the Hun. You mean they aren't "homeless people" now? It appears to me as if they're finding a home among the protesters...

(NYP) — Newly sprung ex-cons and vagrants rousted from other parks are crashing the Occupy Wall Street protest, where gourmet meals are free and boozy, drug fueled parties are on tap, the movement’s leaders griped yesterday.

“They’re telling people who leave prison to go to Zuccotti Park,” lamented Daniel Zetah, a leader of the OWS community-relations group.

Volunteer Lauren Digioia, 26, said, “We have drug dealing going on here, gang activity, public intoxication. There are a lot of instigators. There are a lot of vultures.

“Everyone knows we give out free food and sleeping bags, and it’s a perfect opportunity for squatters.”

Digioia said she recently met a man who just before getting sprung from Rikers, was told by a fellow inmate to hit Zuccotti for the free accommodations.

The frustrated organizers said they’re brainstorming how to launch a protest within the protest to target the drunken, stoned layabouts.

The derelicts, organizers say, are terrorizing people who are there to support the movement.

“There’s a lot of drugs, alcohol, assault [and] theft [by] the homeless groups coming in. We’ve had meetings all day to brainstorm what to do,’’ said Zetah, 34.

The hardened thugs are having a field day preying on overly trusting protesters, many of whom hail from small towns, leaders said.

I'm sure the protestors can take care of themselves. The last thing they want is any "pigs" around.

I didn't think utopia had to deal with issues like this.

If you want my two cents on this........

This is all our creation, rich and poor. We refuse to deal with realities. We chase idealistic notions, which is fine, but without ever demanding that we make gains toward those pursuits.

We buy into things such as a fake war on drugs... We buy into things that gays will destroy the moral fabric of this country and sanctity of marriage. They buy into the myth that there is a dime's worth of difference at the end of the day between Democrats and Republicans at the highest levels of politics. Sure, they polarize themselves on opposite ends of a coin but that is precisely what they serve.. the coin, and who provides it to them.

We are afraid to tell our children that they failed. A huge, and I mean f*cking huge, problem with Generation Y is that they are the 'trophy' generation. That's because they were raised in the environment in which there are no losers. Everyone gets a trophy. We all feel good about ourselves and there are no losers in life. You raise kids with that and then act surprised that they feel like society, government and total strangers owe them a living? That's our fault as well.

We need to take a good, long look at ourselves on both sides and ask ourselves 'what are we doing here?'... It seems that we haven't elected an official or thought collectively as a nation who once considered that in a very, very long time.

I believe it was Ralph Nader who said "The only difference between the Republican and Democratic parties is the velocities with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door. That’s the only difference."

He's right. Who does your official serve?

Asolutely agree with you on that one Corey.

We as a society seem to have shelved the word "competition"...
