    Godfather, I am humbled. I did not anticipate such an honor. You will not regret your decision.

    Terry, very nice article. Thanks.

    <t>Looks like our last best hope at one more DB/Safety made his way in for an official yesterday at South Bend yeasterday. Farrar got in last night. This is the kid who had committed to Stanford previously. Let's hope Kelly and the staff can pull this off and get the kid to commit. <br/>
    <br/>
    Wednesday will be a long one for me. Hopefully Farrar, Williams and Equanimeous St. Brown won't keep everyone waiting with their decisions and they get their LOI's signed and faxed in early. <br/>
    <br/>
    As I mentioned and most Irish fans know, signing day has frequently not been kind to us. I'm hoping we will have some luck this year and get all three of the young men I've mentioned above to complete this class. If so, Kelly and company will have made the best out of what was certainly a lackluster season.</t>

    Tim,

    Tough to lose a game like this after that huge win over Duke, but it happens.

    Chin up!

    ND beats Va. Tech by 25.
    Va. Tech beats Pitt.
    Pitt beats ND.

    Go figure. :shock:

    Well I was worried about this game, team was so high after the Duke win, probably didn't show up ready to play and Pitt was probably reallly ready to play ND.

    But one thing is for sure, it's for the most part all about getting a good seed and finishing the season as a hot team.

    I will be surprised if we don't lose a couple of more games.

    That's great. I feel especially happy for Brown who has waited longer than he should have.

    Good news for both guys. Tim had to wait so long because of other recievers who were ahead of him, the thing with his stats is that with the passing game being so dominant now that he was sliding down the lists every year. His stats were becoming more ordinary every year.

    But for the time frame he played only Jerry Rice was a better receiver.

    I wonder who will be the next ND player to make the Hall? I don't think we have anybody since those guys retired who have had HOF careers. Maybe Michael Floyd or Golden Tate or even Zach Martin will be the guy.

    Maybe a tight end or two. BTW has the BVG to the Raiders rumor ever developed any steam or was it unfounded? I think with depth and some talent, he can do a really good job.

    BVG to the Raiders never got much traction. I guess our next chance at a HOF entry will be Bryant Young, he's been eligible since 2012.

    Well a twist at the end here, it's now being widely reported that Kerry Cooks the guy who is supposedly trying to get Farrar the safety from Georgia and who was/is on campus this weekend to verbal to ND...is out the door after NSD and has been hired by Oklahoma. Also it's being reported that Brian Kelly is not on campus this weekend to meet with Farrar, he's at the Super Bowl instead. So don't be shocked if we don't get another safety in this class.

    Cooks is gone. Confirmed to the Sooners. The Super Bowl is a job fair for Kelly Who would be surprised if he bolted for the NFL? Not me.

    There aren't any jobs open though are there? I wouldn't be shocked either though if after next year he's gone.

    While ND coaches inspire both positive and negative emotions, mostly assoc with winning. We loved Black Moses, till he stopped winning and Chollie was a fat slob but he was our fat slob in 2005 and 2006...then he was just a fat slob. But Kelly has inspired both derision and adoration all in the same year.

    And stunts like the disappearance after the NC game in 2012, and blowing off an important recruit to be at the Super Bowl, just sort of mind numbing. I'll bet neither Urban or Nick would do that.

    Yes, but no one ever confused Brian Kelly with either Urban Meyer or Nick Saban.

    Ya know, it's not like Farrar is our no. 1 safety recruit.
    So you kiss this kid's ass all weekend and he decides he'd rather go to Stanford. You piss away the Superbowl for some mediocre kid??? I don't blame Kelly one bit. Then again, I don't look for every opportunity to stick it to him.
