Hey Tim where do you stand on Tom Crean? From what I was hearing last night the win vs Northwestern pretty much gets them to the "last 4 in" to the tourney.

BTW: This is Autry Denson's basic recruiting pitch. I've seen this before so I don't think Autry came up with it. Truth be told substitute just about any college in to that and it's still true. I don't think many kids, esp those who are HS stars can see it that way, getting to the league is job #1, they think that'll make their life. I know agents tell them don't worry you can always go back and get your degree. Maybe they can, but I wonder how many ever do go back.

I almost forgot that Sat is the first big Jr. Day in recruiting...a fair amount of kids will be in South Bend. So far we stand at 1 commit, OL and 5* Tommy Kraemer. Hopefully we'll come out of the weekend with one or two more kids on board. Supposedly the most likely to commit if offered is Illinois DB Julian Love, he hasn't been offered but if offered will commit before Brian Kelly finishes his sentence. There are a couple of others that are possible, Tony Jones a RB from Fla and Brian Hawkins a WR from N.J.

Big fish is QB Dwayne Haskins who Kelly has been recruiting hard, he's from Maryland and has a big long list of offers. QB's usually commit early but I'd be surrprised if he did so before June from what I read. Kelly supposedly will move on to other targets like the Pike kid from JO'Co's neighborhood and a couple of other kids including a couple from Texas and one from Sid's backyard, Brandon Peters (Avon, In).

Duke up tonight. I hope we don't get run off the court but take them to the limit with a chance to win or even pull the upset!

Another hot first half and we have a double digit lead. I hope they don't come out like they did against Miami last night.

Wow we hang on to pull the big upset on Duke. Take 2 out of 3 in the season series. Okafor got his points and the refs let him bull his way around the basket. They say he'll be the #1 draft pick, but I sure wouldn't take him there, he really could benefit from staying in school.

You know I really thought he was the right guy a couple seasons ago and he did get the ship settled but he just hasn't done what I keep telling my son Tim and other IU fans and that is gotten the bulk of talent out of Indiana every year. I don't get it???? I keep seeing kids from Indiana showing up on quality teams all over the place when they should be suiting up for IU. Drives me crazy! Call me loony but IU should always get the top players in Indiana year in and year out. This is what brought Knight down in his last few years. I also hear there were some drug and alcohol related problems this year with the team and obviously that can't help. The answer to your after I said all that is I think he needs to go(Crean).</r>

What a great run after falling behind by 7 in the second half. Certainly not a friendly crowd. Well done Irish. :)

Great win, when we turned it over a couple of times early and Carolina got some easy baskets I thought...uh oh. But this team just won't quit. A 22-2 run that was so beautiful!

    About that conference we joined...

Everyone agreed that Notre Dame might win a few football titles, but they would surely be in trouble in everything else. Especially basketball...

All 3 of the ND womens recruits were the Gatorade POY for their respective states and McDonalds All-Americans. Very good class.

Yet UConn got the over all best player in the class in a young lady from Mater Dei HS in JO'Co's town. I don't know how a young catholic girl would turn down ND to go to UConn myself but that's the way it is.
