Coach D was very excited about the staff changes. He was esp impressed with Todd Lyght and Mike Sanford Jr. ...he thinks they will be outstanding coaches and recruiter and definitely be future Head Coaches.

I like the young blood brought in at the GA spots.
Barring a plague filled injury-fest like last year, this team should be much improved.

Must read about Demetrius Jackson the Irish Point Guard. I assumed that since he went to a private Catholic HS in South Bend...Marian...that he had a normal family life.

The Irish have offered QB Matt Fink from local school Glendora HS.

    Good Hair!! Lol...California Dreamin'.

Nice win by the Irish Men last night in Louisville. Should finish out with a win on Sat at home vs Clemson. Team had a week off before the Louisville game and so should be well rested for the ACC tourney for which they'll get the double bye.

I haven't seen it but everybody says the Fr. Ted Memorial and Funeral Mass are must see's that the speakers all knocked it out of the Park. It's available online and this weekend is going to be cold and rainy here in Houston so I think I'll watch.

Sanford has made contact with a couple of Texas QB's as well.

    These kids

    2. Tristen Wallace, Desoto (Desoto, TX) – TEXAS TECH: Likely the highest upside of any quarterback in-state if he commits to the right offense. That offense is not Texas Tech. Must be accounted for in the run game at all times, Wallace has breakaway speed even at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds. He’s as powerful as that frame indicates both in the run game and when standing tall in the pocket. Has the ability to make all the throws but is a bit hit or miss in his delivery. Hasn’t had nearly as many reps as others on this list so that’s reason for excitement. He played very well versus Allen in Desoto’s final game of the season. Kyler Murray magic is the only thing that kept Wallace from winning state.

    6. Jalen Hurts, Channelview (Channelview, TX): Maybe the truest dual-threat in the state, Hurts has touchdown speed from long distance but can also hurt you with his arm. Completed 66% of his passes this season while also rushing for nearly 1,000 yards. Good improvisational skills that put defenses in conflict. Come up to tackle him and leave a receiver open? The services underestimate his athleticism. He’s much more than a pocket passer.

The Wallace kid has decommitted from TECH since that evaluation.

Also a 3rd Texas QB has been contacted by Sanford He's a Baylor verbal.

    3. Zach Smith, Grandview (Grandview, TX) – BAYLOR: Tall pocket passer who already plays in an aggressive spread. Smith is extremely comfortable attacking the middle of the field and is accurate hitting receivers on the move. Many an eyebrow was raised in coaching circles when Art Briles targeted him so early but it’s easy to see Smith in Baylor’s offense. Briles will have to sacrifice some of the QB run-game with Smith, however.

Sanford already showing us something in terms of getting out there and going after kids.

Irish Women handle FSU in the ACC tourney, 71-58 They will be a #1 seed and most likely the overall #2, UConn of course will be the overall #1.

Men will get the double bye and play most likely Miami in the quarters with Duke their most likely Semi Final opponent. I think we can beat Miami, but I'm doubtful we can beat Duke.

Spring Drills just right around the corner....it'll be really important I think to see what happens at QB. I do think that the Good Golson gives us a great chance to win, the bad Golson needs to be yanked early and sat down. Of course everybody feels that if Zaire comes out of Spring the starter that Golson will transfer.

Irish Men play Miami tonight, important that they win.

From red hot to ice cold to start the 2nd half.. Miami cuts the lead to single digits. It's going to be a dog fight now.

Unbelievable the Irish go the first 10 minutes or more of the 2nd half without scoring a FG, a couple of FT was it...yet they still won. As I said it was a dog fight to the end.

Next up Duke, I hope we play well but I'll be very surprised if we can beat them. They shoot the ball as well or better than we do and they have much more talent inside than we do.
