ND <t>Previously ranked as a Top 100 level prospect, Notre Dame offensive tackle commit Tommy Kraemer has been elevated to five-star status and the No. 10 prospect in the country. Hailing from Cincinnati Elder</t>
Cincy has been very good to ND. It's the one area of the State that Ohio State can be successfully challenged in recruiting.
I watched the Irish Women last night, it was a tough game to watch. It was a sloppy game, lots of turnovers and we just didn't look sharp. But a win is a win. A very tough Louisville team up next at home, they better be ready.
Very good win for the Irish Men today at BC. BC is not a good team, but they put up a fight for a half before the Irish just ran over them in the 2nd half. Lot of bench scoring today, Bozie Colson had his best game ever at ND..of course he's only a freshman but he's become a fan favorite for the way he plays the game...fearless. Next up is Syracuse at home. Syracuse is a dangerous team, not going to post season so they can play fast and loose. Irish Women have a huge game with Louisville at home on Big Monday. Louisville is a top 10 team.
Another grind it out win for the Irish Women. The final score doesn't really indicate how tough a win this was...Louisville just killed us on the offensive boards tonight....luckily for us they couldn't put them back very efficiently. We didn't shoot it very well from the outside tonight, but we were deadly from inside, and Taya Reimer was perfect tonight made all her fg's and ft's. She's the young lady who left the team for a couple of games. Glad she's back. Syracuse up for the men tomorrow.
I see the Irish baseball team is up to 7-1, including winning 2 out of 3 from OU in Norman. Cavan Biggio, Craig's son is killing it at the plate, hitting .516 . The competition hasn't been upper level ACC type of teams but still nice to get off to a good start. Irish Softball players have played a much tougher schedule and have wins vs traditional softball powers UCLA, Texas and Georgia. They did get schooled by LSU in Baton Rouge and are 9-5 overall. Like most Northern teams they have played all their games on the road so far. They are ranked in the top 25 and should be a very competitive team in the ACC.
I'm not at all surprised that the Men lost to Syracuse last night. I didn't get to see the game, but from looking at the box score we had a terrible night shooting the ball no doubt that Syracuse zone had something to do with it. Next up is a trip to Louisville. I had figured that as a loss, but Louisville dismissed their top scorer recently so maybe we have a chance.
ND <t>Not sure when the official word is coming on the football coaching changes is coming but hopefully real soon. It's getting close to start of Spring Practice.</t>
ND <r>Looks Like the Sanford family thinks it's a done deal:<br/> <br/> <URL url="https://twitter.com/theirishtp/status/570413183204270084"><LINK_TEXT text="https://twitter.com/theirishtp/status/5 ... 3204270084">https://twitter.com/theirishtp/status/570413183204270084</LINK_TEXT></URL></r>
I keep seeing that Ron Powlus will be coming back to ND in an administrative role. I'll bet that Kelly holds off and the official announcement till he has all 3 new coaches cleared by HR and have a press conference to announce all the new guys and all the duties.
Yeah it does look like the Sanford family is all in! A lot of people think this is a great hire, I hope so! He seems to be a Hot Coordinator at the moment.
You never know. Had a business meeting with Carlo Sr yesterday in Fairfield, NJ. His office is a shrine to Irish football and his son. He has several game worn uniforms framed and annotated including the one he wore vs Bama in the NC game. ( no, they were no footprints on the front ). He had the game helmet he wore against Rutgers and it was streaked with red paint. Lots of cool autographed stuff. Carlo Jr is completely out of the game. He lives happily in a suburb of Philadelphia and works for a major insurance carrier. He told his dad recently that he is totally happy and at peace with the direction his life has taken and feels less pressure now than he has since he was a sophomore in high school.
RIP Fr. Ted. While there have been many great leaders at Notre Dame who had a hand in making it what it is today, Fr. Hesburgh is at the top of my list of Great Notre Dame leaders. Fr. Theodore M. Hesburgh
Excerpt from a pay article on Irish Sports Daily, Mike Franks site. THE BUZZ BUZZ: As winter workouts come to an end, we spoke to a source who offered some “Winter Superlatives” from team workouts. We previously mentioned workouts were being taken in a different light this year, but once again our source stated there is just a new level of focus within the team as a whole. This is a time when young guys start to see the light and can get a boost of confidence to seize their positions within the team, and where guys outside the two-deep can get a fresh start. Biggest Loser (Drop Bad Weight): Daniel Cage Biggest Gainer (Add Good Weight): Mike McGlinchey Surprise Leader: Ronnie Stanley Player who has surprised the most this Winter: Jarrett Grace Most likely to get in the two-deep: Michael Deeb Strongest Player: Isaac Rochell Most Dedicated: Tyler Newsome Guy who is seeing the big picture: Nyles Morgan Most impressive early enrollee: Jerry Tillery Fastest Player: Will Fuller Most improved: Quenton Nelson, Michael Deeb, CJ Prosise, Matt Hegarty Player who will have a breakout Spring: Nyles Morgan For the second week in a row, our source highlighted a 260-pound Michael Deeb as one of the players impressing in winter workouts. Now, it is just winter workouts, but definitely a confidence-builder for Deeb as he gets ready to make a move to defensive end.
