Obviously, nothing further I might say would change your mind, so let's agree to disagree. I'm not into long, drawn out debates, especially with friends. Also, as I've aged, I realize that I need to leave open the possibility that I could be wrong, however unlikely.
Sid, That's the exact reason I stopped posting in the Pedo State thread, although I know I'm not wrong.
ND <t>Well tomorrow is the big day for recruiting. I don't get quite as excited as I use to about the day because I usually end up getting royally disappointed. We may or may not have some signing day announcements tomorrow. But I'm not losing any sleep over it. We'll see how we stand tomorrow eve at this time. Hope for the best.</t>
ND <t>Well I log on the computer today to check out how signing day is going and what is the first thing I see...Brady Hoke to ND! What???? Let me go get a cup of coffee and start over!!</t>
Run out of Ann Arbor on a rail. At least he didn't have to run far. Hired as a defensive coach. Last time we saw his defense it was on the snotty end of a 0-37 score. Any of you guys know what his reputation is as a defensive coach? D-Backs?
Hoke has squashed that rumor, not going to ND. I wouldn't be surprised if he's out of coaching this coming year and then gets back in as a Head Coach in the Mtn West, CUSA, MAC, AAU or some place like that. Can't see him immediately going back to being a position coach. He's probably got money coming from UM for this year and can afford to lay out a year waiting and networking for another HC job.
Eh those guys are out there. DL coaches bother me because there's so few ethical DL coaches that will preach 'the ND way.' We can find a QB coach and let's be honest, Kelly is our QB coach. Whoever gets hired is probably more of a coffee guy.
Glad to hear Williams is Irish, Sid's contact was pretty positive he was but online there has been some angst that he might flip back to Miami. We really needed 2 RB's in this class. As far as coaches, not surprising that there is some turnover with assistants. I hope who ever is going to replace them is not only a good coach but a hard worker in recruiting. Although I'm not sure about LeFleur though, I saw an article that said "Mike LaFleur" was going to be joining Dan Quinn at Atlanta. But maybe he's leaving for somewhere else.
This one's for gipper. http://notredame.247sports.com/Article/In-His-Own-Words-Ron-Powlus-To-Notre-Dame-35314832
ND <t>Well as far as class rankings it looks like we end up #7 by Scouts, #11 by Rivals and #13 by 247. Keep in mind we only took 24 and some of the classes ahead of us took way over the 25 we are suppose to adhere to. <br/> <br/> All things considered, this isn't a bad class when you look at how the season went. <br/> <br/> My favorites in the class are QB Wimbush, RB Williams and the TE. Very nice class on the offense especially.</t>
This class also has a pair of 6'5" WRs, including Equanimeous St.Brown from Servite HS in Anaheim. BTW- he's been timed in the 40 at 4.4 and he speaks German, Spanish and French. I've seen him play. He's a good one. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2324152-equanimeous-st-brown-to-notre-dame-fighting-irish-land-4-star-wr-prospect <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Mc5mgdyvSrI?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0"></iframe>
C.J. Sanders from Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks runs the 40 in 4.3... This will be one of the fastest kids in the school walking in the door. He's the kind of player who normally winds up at Oregon or UCLA. BTW- he also returns kicks... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/nYfPlglTJT8?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Looks like Kelly and crew will now beat the bushes for at least two 5th year transfers at the Safety position. Right now our roster features two real Safeties and one other hybrid defensive back who can move back in a pinch.
ND <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> Yes, we definately need that! We need a punt returner too!!!<br/> <br/> An extra bonus with this young man, he already has the right uniform!!!</r>
