I never heard of Father Pete, but he's the men's basketball chaplin and not a bad bball player himself. If you haven't seen this video watch it.

Huge game tonight for the women. UConn in Skylar Diggins last home game. You know Geno is seething at the recent losing streak he has vs ND. He has publically criticised ND for causing the implosion of the Big East by not joining in football.

Hope we send him home crying!

So Geno baby blames ND for the implosion of the Big East. BC, Miami, W. Va., Syracuse, Pitt. and Rutgers have all taken off and the reason was ND? Maybe they got tired of being in a conference with BB teams like UConn who are banned from the NCAA for poor academic performance. Why would a school that has the highest graduation rate in football want to lie down with that flea-ridden dog?

Boeheim also blamed ND for the Big East implosion.
    Boeheim accuses ND

Geno is a jerk. He's irritated that ND has usurped his throne. I hope we annihilate them.

I used to sort of grudgingly admire Geno, he really has had some great teams and great players...but the last few years he's been less than gracious about ND. I imagine that part of it is that UConn is looking at being left out in the cold. The Catholic 7 don't want them, the ACC doesn't want them, only what's left of the Big East wants them...and it's really the new CUSA.

    Someone help me.
First of all Boehiem is blaming a vote that happened THIS WEEK as being responsible for Syracuse leaving the Big East? Didn't they announce that they were leaving months ago?
Second, ND has one vote (I assume) just why did ND's vote sink a TV contract? Did Pitt and 'Cuse have votes even though they're leaving? I say ********.

gip that's an old quote from Boeheim, from Sept 2011 when Syracuse announced it was leaving the Big East.

I read the article but didn't note the date.
I guess when the ACC breaks up it will be ND's fault too.

If you didn't watch the Irish Women take down UConn and Geno...AGAIN...tonight you missed a hell of an effort by the women. Triple OT!! Skylar Diggins is a warrior, she refused to lose, she wasn't really on that much shooting even though she ended up with 29 points, but she played defense and rebounded.

    Go Irish!

I saw the game, and I agree 100% with Terry's description. Skylar Diggins broke down with emotion afterward. It was her last game at ND.

It feels awfully good to sweep Uconn and earn the outright Big East championship.

I have to say that in the 2nd OT when it was tied and we had the ball and could work the clock for the last shot and ended up turning it over without getting off a shot...I was sure that was it, that we'd lose in the 3rd. But instead they ran away with it in the 3rd OT.

Great win on Sr. night for the Irish men. Except for the fight at the end which will cost Cameron Beischeid the Louisville game. We don't beat Louisville in the 5 OT game without his contributions off the bench.

So now the season ends at Louisville, very tough place to play and they will want this game very badly.

Both Ladies and Men won on Sr. Night.

    The fight!

The Johnnie who started the fight never should have been back in the game. He'd already head slapped Knight right in front of a ref and got a flagarant foul, given the way the game was going and his hot head, Lavin should have sat him and not let him back in..he was a powder keg ready to go off.
