Coach Ivey was named ACC WBB Coach of the Year and both Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron were 1st team All ACC and KK Bransford was 1st team All Freshman. No word yet on Olivia's knee injury.
Well Coach Brey gets to go out with a win in his last game at Purcell. So glad to see him get that win.
Brey, who is stepping down at season's end and received warm ovations from the crowd before and after the game, improved to 315-76 at Purcell Pavilion over 23 years as Notre Dame coach. "What an unbelievable night," Brey said over the public address. "We defended pretty much the whole game. I thought we were good defensively. ... It was neat for our seniors to finish like that."
Nice win today for the Women over NC STATE. Next up is Louisville in the ACC semifinal. Has to be hard to beat a good team 3 times in the same season.

Irish Football lost their Special Teams Coordinator, Brian Mason how in 1 year transformed the Irish Special teams into a force to be reckoned with, he went to the NFL Indianapolis Colts. I hope Coach Freeman is able to go after and get another winner at this position.

Looks like we are getting the ST Coord from Ole Miss. Notre Dame is expected to hire Ole Miss special teams coordinator Marty Biagi to the same position, according to a report from The Athletic. He will be in South Bend on Monday for a formal interview that should complete the move, per an ESPN report. Biagi replaces Brian Mason, who left just one day earlier to take the same job with the Indianapolis Colts. His expected return to Notre Dame will be his second stint on staff, seven years after a one-season run as a special teams analyst in 2016. The standards for him are lofty, thanks to Mason's impact in just one season on staff.

Well the Irish lost their final game of the season and Mike Brey's career. They did it pretty much like they have done it all year, playing just well enough to keep it close at the end but always finding a way to lose. Thanks for the good times Coach Brey, I wish your last season could have been a great season, but I wish you well in whatever you do next.
Lots of stuff going on. Irish Women are a #3 seed and will host the 1st round, opening with Southern Utah. Still no word on the status of Olivia Miles. Irish Track and Field Athlete Jadin O'Brien takes the Nat'l Championship in the Women's Pentahalon. Another Irish woman track athlete, Olivia Markezich, was the runner up for the Nat'l Championship in the 3000m race. Irish women finished #7, their 2nd highest finish ever in the Indoor Nat'l Championships. Baseball lost 2 out of 3 to Ga.Tech and are off to a stumbling start. Softball on the other hand won 2 out of 3 vs NC State and are doing well. Lacrosse is doing really well beat Maryland at their place and also handled Ohio State easily Irish football lost a recruit who had signed a LOI in Dec, Brandyn Hillman who was expected to be a safety at ND. Rumors are that there were problems with academics and he was not going to be admitted to ND. Kind of late for him to have this come out like this but he's already had interest from several schools including Michigan. Also we are still 8 players over the 85 limit. I assume there will be some roster adjustments after Spring Ball via the Portal. No word on the next Irish Basketball coach, probably not till after the NCAA Tournament.
A big blow to the team, but not unexpected. Injuries are a part of the game, no doubt losing both Dara Mabrey and now Miles are devestating not to mention Lauren Ebo is not 100%. I still have hope we have enough to make the sweet 16,beyond that we'll need some luck.
