One of the stories going around is that Maya Dodson would like to come back next year if the NCAA will grant her the Covid year many players have had, IU player Ali Patberg who started at ND in the 2015-16 season (didn't play due to injury) is in her 7th season of college basketball

Also some talk that possibly Abby Prohaska and Dara Mabry might be eligible to come back with the Covid year.

Amazing, Irish Hockey skates past Michigan. Somehow this team has an edge on Michigan, which overall has been a better team this year.

This allows us for now to slip by Ohio State into 3rd place

Irish men crushed Ga Tech tonight. 90 - 56. On offense everything went in and we played good defense combined with Tech just not being able to finish when they got good opportunities.

This clinched the all important double bye in the ACC tournament.

Irish women are getting crushed by Louisville, again. 1st qtr was 31 - 3, they seemingly hit every shot we couldn't throw it in to the ocean.

Also an incredible disparity in rebounds.

Final score was 86-64. Could have been worse, they are just more experienced, deeper than us.

Good shooters all through the lineup and a great rebounding team. Certainly a team that can be a final four team.

The good news is that Irish Hockey swept Michigan this weekend. We really had their number this year.

I didn't watch but from what I read the Michigan coach felt like the refs cost them, esp with the winning goal by the Irish. While he may be right, but the thought of Big 10 refs giving the Irish an edge is a foreign concept to me.

Next is the Big10 tournament. Irish have Wisconsin. Minnesota by finishing 1st gets a bye.

    Michigan v Michigan State
    Ohio State v Penn State

If we make it to the Quarter Finals, I don't see us getting by Louisville, based on the two regular season results. In fact, I believe it'd be an upset if Louisville doesn't win the whole thing. We'll see.

Did I see that Olivia Miles was named as a freshman to the first team all ACC?

Yes, on both the media and the coaches, Maya Dodson was 1st team on the coaches.

Not sure in which topic this belongs, so I thought I'd post it here. The NCAA rules committee is considering two changes to try to speed up the game:

They could achieve the same thing by eliminating 2 commercial time outs.

I wonder what the average time for a non-televised game is compared to a televised game?

Kp said eliminate two commercials. Heaven forbid Kyle, that would be a loss of revenue for the TV Network and that is a no no!o_O

Might be hard to find a major college game not on TV these days.

ND and the draft. Jack Coan might actually get drafted, which is surprising to me. He was a good college QB, but I thought he was a UDFA.

TheAthletic ranks Coan as the 8th best QB in the draft. The list is put together by Dane Bugler, who is pretty reputable. It is a down year for QBs, but might help ND a little if Coan ends up getting drafted in a decent spot. He supposedly was very impressive during the East-West week of practices and interviews.

Bugler ranks Kyren is the 5th best RB in the draft (behind Walker, Spiller, Breece Hall, and Tyler Allgeier of BYU).

The 5th best RB now sits out his bowl game? That's hard to swallow.

I agree Mike, while we will never know of course but I think if he had played that we might have won
