I'm familiar with McCullough via the IU football news here. He's highly respected by the fans. He has 3 sons who are football players/recruits: a transfer from Miami, OH, currently at IU, a LB and member of the recruiting class of '22 currently early-enrolled at IU, and a member of the class of '23, currently verbally committed to IU. This article mentions them.
Reports: RB coach Deland McCullough expected to leave IU, sons are highly rated recruits

Edit: An article in today's Indpls. Star indicated that all 3 sons have confirmed their commitments to IU. Just an FYI for anyone who might be interested.

Great win for the Women tonight vs #3 NC STATE.

Maya Dodson had a great game as did Olivia Miles. They led for most of the game with the lead being as big as 12 points. But you knew the Wolfpack weren't going to make it easy.

Got very tight at the end but we held on for a 3 point win.

Key was we got their AA center into foul trouble.

Neither team shot especially well, we rebounded well though and hit our free throws... funny how important it is to hit the freebies!

First top 10 win since the 2019 Final Four. They are a veteran team compared to the Irish. 378 starts compared to 211 for the young Irish.

This was the exact opposite of Duke game last night. The women came out right away and took charge of the game. Top 5 team, veteran team, not a sellout like the Duke game but never the less just as big a game and they rose to the occasion.

West Virginia Co - OCoord, Gerad Parker, apparently will be the new ND TE coach.

The only thing unusual about this is that he has a DUI on his record. Back in 2017 when he was at Purdue he was busted. Now we've had student athletes busted for this and they did the punishment and continued with their careers.

Just don't remember ever hiring someone with that on their record. Although he's subsequently worked at Penn State, Duke and West Virginia. So no doubt has learned his lesson.

Penn State receivers coach Gerad Parker received probation and community service after pleading guilty to a 2017 charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to court documents filed Wednesday in Indiana.

Parker received 364 days probation and must complete 28 hours of community service within six months through Tippecanoe County, according to court records. Parker also was fined $500 and must pay court costs.

Also it seems like Al Golden must be Freeman's choice at DCoord. Why else would he not have named someone, unless he was waiting for the Bengals to finish their season?

Really nice bounce back win for the Irish men @ Miami. We got out of the gate fast, led for most of the game several double digit leads.

Paul Atkinson had a field day inside against a smaller and less physical front line than he faced against Duke.

Goodwin was back after being shutdown by Duke, and Hubb also had a good game.

Team played good defense and we out rebounded them. It was a virtually a foul free game till very late when Miami had to start fouling.

Irish tied for 2nd at 8-3 in the ACC , behind Duke, along with UNC and Miami.

Another excellent win by the Irish Women last night vs Va. Tech. Va.Tech started fast hitting 3's but then the Irish got rolling and the 1st period finished in a tie, after that we took the lead and never relinquished it. Maya neutralized their AA Center Kitley and Olivia Miles had another great game. Terrific defense shut down their 3-point shooters, they lead the ACC in 3pt shooting. Everybody contributed either scoring or with great defense.

Nice pass by Freshman Sonia Citron to Sam Brunelle for an easy basket.

I watched the first half of the East-West Shrine game last night. Jack Coan was great. Who knows how that will translate in the NFL draft? Here's the analysis of his performance from the NFL web site:

I was surprised to read good reviews of Coan in the week leading up to last night's Shrine game, which I did not watch. One that I read said he had a great week of practice and could be drafted in the late rounds and make somebody's squad. I thought he'd be a undrafted FA and not make anybody's squad. I'll be very glad to be wrong. He really seemed like a great young man and I wish him well.

Irish Hockey blasted Penn State last night at Compton. We are pretty much locked into the #4 slot in the Big Ten Hockey standings though. Be difficult for us to move up on Minn, Ohio State or Michigan.

Our new RB coach might not make it, he's being considered for the same job with the NY Giants and there are rumors that Mario Cristobal is offering Tommy Rees a huge pay increase to come to Miami and supposedly some interest from the NFL Rams as well.

Irish men got another road win at NC State this afternoon. Blowout loss to Duke is the only hiccup recently. Irish are 9-2 in 2022. The other loss was to Va Tech on the road.

We got out of the gate fast and were up 19 - 3 at one point, then we got sloppy and they got hot and ran off a streak that closed and erased the lead.

Plus we lost Nate Laszewki in the 1st half and Atkinson got into foul trouble changed the offense. They got hot, hit the 3 and we went cold.

But we adjusted at half time and shut them down in the 3rd qtr with a terrific zone defense. Got the lead back and while they had a couple of short runs we never really let them back in the game.

Solid win, Hubb and Trey Wertz scored and played great D, Cormac Ryan only made 1 basket but it was a big 3 when needed and his defense and rebounding were key.

    Louisville up next

Re: Laszewski, saw this on Twitter:

"It's a bruise — so it's nothing structural — so, hopefully, he should be back Wednesday (vs. Louisville)." — Notre Dame MBB coach Mike Brey on Nate Laszewski's leg injury in a 69-57 win at NC State

Now being reported that RB coach, DeLand McCullough, has turned down the Giants offer and will be in South Bend this week to begin working with the Irish.
